I walked along the hallways deep in thoughts as I held my chin with my hand, ignoring the chattering of people from this hallway and the loud cheering outside on the court.
What Sora had said to me... I had been thinking about it all the time. The spirit of a girl that wanders around the school and vanishes into thin air when anyone got close... could that have been the same girl that had been haunting me? Haunting might be a very dark word.... pestering... yes. Could that be the very spirit that had been pestering me since the beach? But said spirit was said to appear only in this school and I had met the one that had been pestering since the club's summer camp... in the end, this could have just been my mind toying with me with a bunch of illusions...
Anyway, now was not time for that...
Stopping in my tracks, I realised that I had reached the end of an abandoned hallway and with a smirk, I slide open the door in front of me, releasing all the pent up voices that the room had been keeping into my ears, killing it.
I could feel myself getting somewhat put off when I realised that no one was acknowledging my presence and was so into their heated debated on what appears to be written on the whiteboard. Said whiteboard had something written on it with huge letters and with glaring colours and those letters connected itself to form one single word. Cake. I switched back my gaze to the noisy bunch whom which I unfortunately enough have for clubmates and one sentence caught my attention.
"I cannot allow Touko to be responsible for the cake!", Konoha practically shouted those claims and to emphasize on his point, he slammed the table to put a more impact to it. Literally speaking. As if on reflex, I barged into the group of circles raising my hand in agreement. Though it was as if my sudden appearances was not a shock to them, more hands raised in agreement and anyone could see the look of defeat on Touko's face.
"Uh... if it's okay, Daisuke would help Touko-san with the cake."
Slowly and softly raising his hands, Daisuke said those very words with confidence and with a soft and gentle voice as he radiates his aura of calmness and purity around this clubroom. It was enough to have everyone under the mercy of Daisuke's innocence and I had to admit that I too had been entranced by it.
But the back of our mind was still caring for the safety of our lives and was about to protest eventhough how much it would hurt such innocent soul before said person latched himself onto Konoha begging for help.
"Kono-chii! Please! Help Daisuke and Touko-san!"
"Wh- wh- what?! Da- Daisuke you're too close!"
Ah, the fire of jealousy burns greatly in me seeing Daisuke holding on to Konoha's arm with such force...
"Ah- but! B- but... ah, oh well. Fine. I give in!"
Sora was about to protest in his behalf but as he and share a glance at each other, we both knew that we were fighting a losing battle. In the end, sighing, we admit defeat much to Touko's joy.
"Ah! Then that leaves me with the decoration then!"
Mizuki shouted, radiating nothing but pure excitement and happiness as she rose from her seat and raising her hand.
Everyone cast a glance at each other and with a grin making its way on our faces, we nodded and fist bumped each other.
"...ah, it feels kind of quiet ..."
I was walking down the road back home alone and I could not help but miss the noise that usually accompanies me when going back home. Usually it would be me, Mei, Touko and Daisuke going home together but know with Mei already going back home earlier and the junior duo heading to Konoha's house to plan for the cake. Of course with Konoha swearing to make sure Touko and Daisuke stay safe.
