Why.... why is it me?

Why did I have to go through this?

Those were the thoughts that was constantly on my mind, sitting alone at this empty rooftop.

I didn't have any friends at all. I tried to make some, but it ended tragically.

I was never good with talking with people. I ended up being too blunt or just too mean. I just said everything without filtering anything...

Because of that, people in my class started to isolate me. I can't help but feel terrible.

Just knowing that no one wants to be my friend because of my attitude hurts..

It didn't help my loneliness at all. Back home, things was even worse...

There was no one at home at all...

I have a big sister but she works as a teacher at a very far away school and I told her that I was fine living alone..

How stupid was I?

Sure I have a big sister but who else was there at home? After all.. both of us are... I..

I....

...was an orphan.

I was not at orphan at first, but I did became one because of my own selfish desires.

It was on my birthday, I told my parents that I want a stroll around town and then that happened.

A drunk driver drove his truck so early in the morning and my parents were the victims of his stupidity.

The memory of my parents dying in front of my eyes was still clear in my mind. Not just the scene, but even the scream, the screeching sound from the truck trying to slow down... even the feeling of my parents' blood on me was still there..

Luckily it never haunts me but if I were to recall it, I would recall it very clearly..

I was even more grateful that my big sister had things to do that day..

But... due to all these... I..

Just today, I was told to not get myself involve in the class's work for the cultural festival seeing as I would get in the way..

Why?

I didn't ask for this... I...

"Onee-chan... help me.."

*Bam!*

The sound of the door opening made me scream loudly and walking out of the door was a group of three people.

One was a girl with long blue hair while the other girl had a short orange hair.

The last member was a boy with messy black hair. Out of all three of them, the one that caught my attention was the boy.

It was his eyes. His eyes looked as if he was bored at everything. Even while the other two was smiling brilliantly, he was bored.
It didn't help with the rather very obvious bags under his eyes.

"Ah! Today is a great day to eat at the roof!"

"True!"

"...urgh...it's too bright..."

"Aw, come on, you shut-in. Time to feel the sun shining on you!"

"I'm not a shut-in, Hikari. I just don't like the heat. Plus, we're intruding."

The boy pointed his finger towards me while his eyes was most definitely closed and defintely showed just how tired he was dealing with the other two.
