Thumping house music is all I can hear when Jayden's truck pulls up across the street from Dani's house. I'm surprised the cops never show up to these loud, obviously underage parties.

The four of us climb out of the truck and I grab the small black cooler bag from the back seat before we cross the road towards the large house. Dani opens the front door, the music amplifying and mixing with the sounds of teenagers shouting over it, and leads us through the maze of a hallway into her large bedroom.

"Just drop your bags anywhere in here. You can come and get your drinks whenever you like, but try to keep the door closed. I don't want any of my brother's friends throwing up on my bed," Dani explains with a disgusted look, as if this has happened before.

"Thanks Dani," I smile, sliding our cooler bag under her bed to ensure no one will steal any drinks.

"No problem," she chirps. "I'll leave you to it, then. Come on, J."

Dani grabs hold of Jayden's hand and pulls him out of the room before he can protest. Shana bursts into laughter as soon as they leave, crossing the room to dig through our cooler.

"She's so into him," she giggles, pulling two Jack Daniels and cola cans out of the bag and I screw up my face.

"She's into everyone," I take my can from her and swap it for a smirnoff ice. "She had a boyfriend last week."

"Wow," Shana continues to laugh. "And she calls me slutty..."

"When did she call you slutty?" I frown. Have I missed something here?

"Junior year. She was pissed because her ex-boyfriend had a thing for me," Shana opens her can and drinks a few mouthfuls. "I guess she makes it hard by dating every guy in school."

"She probably didn't mean it. Dani's a really lovely girl," I defend her and Shana nods.

"I'm sure she didn't. Whatever," she downs the rest of her can and tosses it onto the floor. "Let's go get trashed and dance our asses off."

"That actually sounds so good right now," I giggle, downing my drink as fast as possible while Shana cheers me on.

We both grab another drink each and kick our cooler back under Dani's bed before walking back into the hallway and slamming the door behind us. I feel the warmth of my drink in my stomach and I grin at Shana enthusiastically as we follow the loud music out onto a decked area full of grinding teenagers.

I swallow a few mouthfuls of the sweet liquid in my bottle before allowing Shana to lead me onto the crowded dance floor. We dance freely, holding onto each other's hands as we sing along to the music and enjoy our growing buzz. Three songs later, we've both finished our drinks and I decide I'm ready for another.

"I think I want that jack and coke now," I shout into Shana's ear and she flinches despite the loud music that seems to be drowning out my voice.

Shana nods her head and follows me back into the house where we both take a third drink out of the cooler before heading straight back outside. I waltz backwards out of the door, holding onto Shana's hands and pulling her with me whilst she giggles hysterically. Suddenly, my back collides with someone and I feel hands on my waist to steady me.

"Woah," a deep voice laughs behind me and I recognise Landon immediately before spinning around.

"Watch it," I yell playfully over the music and he raises an eyebrow at me as I continue to move past him to dance with Shana.

The two of us continue to move our hips as we shout out the words to some of the songs, but I can't seem to take my eyes off Landon the whole time. A tall bottle blonde is chatting him up across the room and I find myself frowning in their direction.

"You should go talk to him," Shana encourages me and I manage to tear my eyes from Landon for a moment.

"Huh?" I shake the thoughts of him and the blonde from my head as I continue to dance with my best friend.

"You clearly want to be with him right now," she laughs and I join in, embarrassed by my obvious staring. "You can't let that blonde bimbo into his pants."

I frown at the sudden image placed in my mind, sparking anger within me, and Shana seems to notice.

"I mean, he obviously wants you too, Skye," she glances back towards Landon who seems completely uninterested in the girl who's all over him. "Go and get him."

Shana's encouraging words motivate my tipsy self and before I know it, I'm crossing the deck towards Landon. Thank god for liquid courage.

This chapter is a little short but I just love a good cliffhanger, so I had to end it there! Be sure to leave a vote and a comment and stay tuned for the next chapter (it's going to be action-packed and maybe a little steamy, who knows) ;)

Thanks so much for all the support!
