"You need to tell me everything, right now!" Shana squeals, causing me to flinch.
I was wrong for thinking that my confession would put an end to her relentless questioning. I was very wrong. Shana grips me by my shoulders and awaits my response as we stand in the almost empty hallway outside the entrance to the cafeteria.
"I thought I just did tell you everything," I groan, glancing around us for possible eavesdroppers.
"How did it happen? How did it... feel?" Shana's eyes are wide and I screw my nose up at her choice of questions.
"It just happened, okay? We were messing around and he just kept talking about feelings and stuff... It was sort of weird, actually," I frown as I try to recall the somewhat cloudy memory. "For Landon, I mean."
"Really? What did he say?" Shana leans against a locker behind her and stares back at me with a slightly confused smile.
"He asked me how I felt about him... I sort of brushed it off at first but he got all upset with me which made all these words just start spilling out of my mouth about how great he is and how much I like him," I bury my face in my hands and let out a sigh, cursing my tipsy tendencies to let my crazy thoughts out. "Then he just kissed me... and it went from there, I guess."
Shana's eyes are wide with what looks like shock for a moment but she composes herself and begins to smile humorously.
"You managed to get Landon talking about feelings? How many drinks did he have?" she giggles, a bewildered expression on her face.
For a moment, I frown at the way Shana speaks as though she knows Landon well. Oh. I forgot that they do know each other well.
"That's what I said," I force a laugh and Shana joins me. "I never saw him have a drink, though. That's the funny thing."
"Or maybe he's just really into you," Shana smiles at me hopefully. "Maybe you've cracked open the ice cold heart of a bad boy and turned him soft."
I smile at the idea of Landon really being into me. It was unlikely, but the thought still brought a storm of whirling butterflies to my stomach.
"I doubt it," I sigh with a smile, leaning against the wall casually. "He had my tipsy self fooled, though. Shana, I actually thought I wanted to have sex with him. I told him not to stop, but he kept asking me if I was sure and wanting to talk instead and eventually he just convinced me to go back out into the party."
"Oh my god, Skye," Shana's eyes look as if they're about to pop out of her head.
"I know," I whine, scolding myself for being so dumb. "Another drink and a little less self control and I might have lost my virginity in Dani's bed."
"No, Skye, you need to have sex with him," Shana announces loudly. I gasp and cover her mouth with my hands as she giggles at my reaction.
