ao3 announcement

Hey, long time no see.

Due to wattpad banning mature content, I have decided to start archiving some of my mature fics over on ao3. Eden is one of those fics. This does not mean that I am taking Eden off wattpad. it will remain here until, and you will be able to continue reading it for as long as you want. I am putting it up on ao3 as a safety precaution so that it has somewhere to exist without the threat of being deleted.

If you are planning on migrating from wattpad to Ao3, you need to keep some things in mind. (i am pulling this list off threads because it's very useful; it's geared towards readers, but I think it's best for authors to see too)

1. don't like? don't read

2. you kink is not my kink

3. dead dove do not eat = heed the tag warnings (basically, make sure to check the tags so you understand what content is going into the story. if you see things that make you uncomfortable, don't continue reading. authors will not be sympathetic to you if you pick up their fic with weird shit, and you get offended that the fic has weird shit)

4. ao3 allows any fics because it is fiction. stop vying for censorship, they won't do it. also, see point 1

5. stop reporting fics you don't like. see 1 and 4

6. comments/kudos/bookmark fics you do like, the writer gets more motivated to write that way, HOWEVER do not comment things like when are you updating/next update when, etc. these people have jobs and lives, fanfiction is a hobby, and good writing takes time. please be patient

7. there is a filtering system. use it (basically, you can filter out the things you don't want to see, and filter in the things you DO want to see)

8. your ship is not my ship = see 1 (essentially, if you don't like a ship, don't read fics about it, it's that simple)

If you have an ao3 account already, and you would like to read Eden over there instead/in general, or just save it in case wattpad does something stupid, you may now do so. You can either search Eden | Yoonmin into the search bar, or you can look up my username orangemintsoda and find it on my profile instead. I have not made any changes to the story (whether that's adding or deleting things), it's still the same story that you all have come to love. I am currently in the process of moving the chapters over. So far, the first twenty or so chapters are up, and I'm hoping to have it fully moved over by the end of the week.

I'm really hoping nothing bad happens to the story here, but just in case, moving the fic helps it stay alive instead of being lost forever. Thank you for reading this story over the past six years, it's meant a lot to me.
