*ASHER'S POV*
Blasting One Direction on the radio while getting ready for work. I change into my outfit for today before running over to the mirror. I grab my keys making her way out of the front door when my mother stops me.
"Where are you going?"
"Work"
"Take a seat, we still need to talk about the other night"
I stood there trying to figure out what she was talking about until I remembered, that night, the night when I decided to get drunk for hating myself. I wish she would just leave it alone, I caused myself so much embarrassment to understand that I will never do it again.
If I really want to change, first thing was first, I had to change my ways. Starting with my attitude. The old me would argue with her telling her not to worry about it and to leave me alone, to mind her own business. I don't want to be the old me, I'm tired of hurting the people I love. The only problem is can I really change? Will anyone believe in me? I guess there is only one way to find out.
I could see the fear from her eyes as she stood there waiting for me to sit but I refuse. "About that, I know what you're going to say and I just want you to know that you don't have to worry about it. It was a mistake and it won't happen again, promise"
She opened her mouth to say something but she stopped with a questioned look upon her face. "I have to go now, I can't be late for work, have a great day mom" It felt great having a smile on my face the whole way to work until remembering Stacy. I have to apologize for what I said and did. I just hope she isn't still mad at me.
Stacy was there putting down the chairs. "GoodMorning" I say feeling confident.
"Morning, had fun lastnight?"
"Yeah I did, thanks again"
"No problem"
So far so good. Standing there nervous, I decide to just spit it out. "Do you remember what happened two days ago?" I was playing with my keys, hoping she would forgive me when I apologize.
She stops not looking at me. "Yeah, what about it?"
"I'm sorry, you were right. I don't know you so I hope you forgive me and if not then that's okay, I understand"
"It's fine, forget it. It's over and done with. You haven't forgotten about this week right?"
"Yeah, don't worry, I decided to not go to school this whole week to help you out. Besides I need the hours anyway"
Stacy smiled at me. "Good, now get to work"
"Yes ma'am"
I went straight to work. It was slow but I didn't mind. I thought about my life and how blessed I am to be where I am today. Looking around me I couldn't help but notice the families that come and go. They are always happy. Everyone gets along. It made me realize what I'm missing. Family.
A family of three handed me their change before walking out. "Have a great day". As they were walking out a group of girls walked in. There were four of them. They were all tall and pretty, you could tell they were rich, because of the way they dressed. Let me rephrase that, how I would dress.
Grabbing my notepad and made my way to their table. I almost stopped halfway when I realized that one of the girls were Evelyn. Why is she hanging out with girls like this? Oh yeah, nevermind.
"Excuse me" The girl with long fake hair says waving her hand in my face. I was too busy staring at Evelyn who was completely trying to avoid me.
"I'm sorry, are you guys ready to order"
