*ASHER'S POV*

Sitting up in bed I rubbed my eyes yawning. Today's going to be a long day.

I get out of bed and run to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and call my dad. Hoping after school we can actually do something as a family.

"Dad, hey, its Asher"

"Asher? Why are you calling me?"

"I was calling to ask-" I couldn't even finish my sentence. "Shouldn't you be at school?"

"Yeah but dad, I-"

"No buts, if your still home when I get home, your grounded"

Aggravated I hang up on him like he always does to me. I call Evelyn, to ask if she could pick me up. Thank god she didn't leave yet.

We go to the same college University of Florida. I'm a freshman and I hate it. The only reason why I have to go to college is because of my parents.

They want me to be a doctor. I don't want to be a doctor! I want to be a singer but I don't think I'm any good. People tell me I am but I don't see it.

Running to my room I grab my grey sweatpants and a black hoodie throwing it on. Quickly grabbing my bag trying to hurry before Evelyn gets here. Walking outside just in time. Evelyn drives into the drive way. I lock the door behind me and jump into her car.

"Goodmorning!"

"Morning ready for another stupid day of school!" I say putting on my seatbelt.

Sighing Evelyn says "not really"

We go our separate ways heading to our classes before the bell rings when someone I know calls my name so I turn around still walking straight. I wave and tell her hey when a girl ive never seen before runs into me dropping all her books in a hurry manner.

I look down at her she was struggling to pick up the books. I was about to help her and say I was sorry when I heard her say "fucking bitch".

I watch as she grabs her books and runs to her next class not looking back. Excuse me? Finally getting into my class, I sit in my seat thinking about her. Who is she? I've never seen her here before and i know everybody who goes here.

Thank god its finally lunch time! I walk up to Evelyn and the rest of my friends who are laughing and throwing food at each other, "you guys are so stupid" Evelyn says taking a piece of spaghetti noodle out of her hair.

As I sit down and look up from my plate, I see the girl from this morning sitting by herself flipping through a book. I watch as she runs her hands through her hair frustrated but about what?

As she cries in her hands two girls walk her way laughing saying something mean when they spill coffee on her.

I want to help her so bad but I'm still mad at her because of this morning. But a part of me wants to help her because I know what it's like to feel unwanted and hurt, I don't know this girl but nobody deserves to be bullied. I sigh looking away feeling sorry for her and feeling guilty that I didn't help her.

Evelyn notices and says "Don't feel bad babygirl, nobody likes her"

"Who is she? I've never seen her here before"

"That's because she's a nobody Asher, her name is Leslie, She's weird and a nerd, don't worry about her, you got me boo, that's all you need" she says winking at me then flirting with the boy on the side of her. Sometimes I wish Evelyn wasn't my friend.
