Chapter 13

I was laying on something cold. I looked at what it was and saw Cole. I was back at the castle in Cole's bed. A warm feeling overwhelmed me. I was back with Cole. I feel like everything's okay now. I looked at him and he looked at me. His forest green eyes were soothing. Then they turned red and an evil grin appeared on his face.

"Cole. What's wrong?", I asked.

"Oh nothing. Just wondering if you taste better than you look", he replied.

"You are not Cole. Who are you?", I asked.

"None of your concern. You should go back to your little prince. Cause your mother can't protect you from me", the man said.

"Leave me alone!", I yelled.

"I can't. I have orders from my master. If I don't do what I'm told, there will be consequences", the man said.

He disappeared and I took in everything he said. Did this man really plan on hurting me? What is Cole supposed to do to protect me? Why does he want to hurt me?

I decided to leave for the castle that night. Why am I constantly leaving the people I love? First my mom, then Cole and then my mom again. I quietly walked down the path that led to the castle. I only stopped twice. I wanted to be there before sunrise. Once I got to the castle, I approached the gate and surprisingly, there were no guards standing at the gate. I opened the door and saw the main room. I tried to remember where Cole's room was and headed that direction. I stopped at his door and peeked in. He was laying in bed sleeping. I quietly walked over to bed and looked at him. He was snoring lightly and his hair covered his face. I missed him so much in the so little time I was gone.

I walked over to the other side and climbed in with him. I felt him put his arm around me. He opened his eyes and they were still forest green.

"You came back", he whispered.

"I had to come back. I had a dream and a man said I had to come back so you can protect me", I said.

"From what?", he asked.

"I don't know. But I'm scared", I replied.

"Of what?", he asked.

"I'm scared that your father will find out that I'm back. Won't he try and kill me?", I asked.

"I don't think that will happen", he replied.

"Why?", I asked.

"My grandmother came and took care of him. She forced him to let you come back. I was going to come you but I got tired", he replied.

"Isnt your grandmother apart of the council?", I asked.

"Yeah. You're just full of questions aren't you?", he asked.

"Yeah and you're a prince", I said sarcastically.

He gave me a kiss on my forehead and pulled me closer to him. I missed this for the little time I was gone. Just us together. It felt like a whole different world with him around. Now I'm sure I want to stay.
