Chapter 23

When I woke up the next morning, I climbed out how of bed and looked out the window. I saw my house. Just looking at it made me feel sad. I missed my mom and I have no idea of my father's whereabouts. He disappeared when I was six. Leaving my mother to raise me by herself. I climbed back in bed laying against Cole's bare chest. It was cold but I didn't care. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead.

"Are you okay?", he asked with his eyes still closed.

"I'm fine", I replied.

"Are you sure?", he asked." You seem kind of distracted", he said.

"I'm okay", I said.

We both knew I was lying but he didn't bother to keep asking because he knew what I would say. I pulled the cover over my head and closed my eyes. Of course Cole being the weirdo he is pulled the cover away from my face and tickled me to death.

"Say everything will be okay and I'll stop", he said.

"I will if you stop tickling me", I said.

"Only if you say it", he said.

"I can't if you continue to tickle me", I said.

He stopped immediately and I made a run for the door. I was stopped and put back on the bed. Cole towered over me kissing my lips. He pulled away and looked at me.

"Now you have to say it", he said.

"Everything will be okay", I said.

"I'm glad to here you say that", he said.

"Satisfied now?", I asked.

"Very", he replied.

"Good cause I'm not saying it again", I said.

"I think you will. I have to ask you something", he said.

I waited for him to ask. I had no idea what he wanted to ask but the way he was looking at me made me nervous.

"Were you serious when you said you wanted me to change you?", he asked.

"I want to be with you forever. I can't do that if I'm still human", I replied.

"You still have a whole life ahead of you", he said.

"So did you but you gave it all up", I commented.

"I didn't have a choice. I needed to protect you", he said.

"Well I don't either", I said.

"Yes you do. You're willing to give everything up just to be with me", he said.

You did the same thing", I said.

"That's because I have a job to fulfill. To protect you", he said.

"What if I could change your mind?", I asked.

"How could you do that?", he asked.

"By doing this", I replied.

I gave him a light kiss on the lips and moved down to his neck. He caught on to the idea and did the same thing. He ran his hair through my hair and moved his lips to my neck. I moaned softly being careful not make to much noise to wake anyone is the hotel since it was still early. I kissed his lips once more and he pulled at my shirt getting annoyed that it wouldn't come off. I took it off for him giving him an almost full exposure to my chest. He began to kiss a few inches above my collarbone and looked at me.

"I guess I would miss this once you're gone", he said.

"I told you it would be a good idea to change me", I said.

"Okay I'll do it. Let's just get it over with", he said.

I looked at him and his fangs were sticking out his gums. He put his mouth on my neck and I felt a sharp pain. I felt tired and worn out. This must be the hard put of the process. I felt the darkness take over me and then I blacked out and that's all I remember.
