Chapter 27

I stood in the room shocked about what Sarah had said. She was she had said about me having to do what she says because she's royalty but she can't do this. I don't want to hurt Cole but if I don't then Sarah's gonna kill me. I can't leave Cole. But I don't wanna be killed. I don't have a choice. I heard a howling sound come from outside. I looked out the window and saw two huge wolves ripping the guards apart. I almost fainted when someone caught me.

"It's okay. Don't be scared", a calming voice said.

I felt two arms wrap around me and I felt calm then quickly realized it wasn't Cole. I turned around and saw a boy who was my height. Blonde hair, blue eyes and olive skin.

"Who are you?", I asked.

"That's not important right now sweetheart. What I need from you is to tell me where the prince is and I'll be on my way", he replied.

"I'm not going to tell you where he is", I said.

"Listen, I'll give you one more chance to tell me where he is", he said.

I didn't utter a word. Instead I drew all my power into my hands and touched his arm. He screamed in pain and let me go. I made a run for it downstairs to the meeting room. No one was there. I looked outside and saw three more wolves and they growled at me. I ran back inside and the boy who held me captive before was standing right in front of me.

"Miss me?", he asked.

"Not really", I replied.

"You know you really hurt me before. But your little power can't do any real damage. Lucky for you, this is your last chance to tell me where the prince is", he said.

"I'm not telling you", I said.

"So stubborn. Well that's typical for a vampire to be stubborn", he said.

"Wow. You don't know me at all", I said.

He chuckled. Okay is it me or does every guy I meet always chuckle? I jabbed the boy with my elbow in the gut and quickly ran away. I was caught when I made it halfway up the steps.

"Now what do you mean by I don't know you at all?", he asked.

"Cause I'm a newborn vampire and we tend to be much stronger than any other species", I replied.

I jabbed him in the stomach and ran as fast as I could.

"Cole I need you!", I screamed on my head.

I heard growing right behind me and I ran even faster. I had no idea where I was going but I ran far away from the castle. I ran on top of a mountain figuring the wolf wouldn't follow me. I was wrong. I was dead wrong.

"Just leave me alone", I said.

"What fun what that be? By killing you, that will make your little prince beg for mercy", he said.

"I don't know why I have to be apart of this", I said.

" Like I said. If I get rid of you, it will make the prince beg for mercy", he said.

I saw Cole right behind the boy just standing there. The boy turned around and laughed.

"Hello Cole", the boy said.

"Hello Justin", Cole said.

"You're not happy to see me?", Justin asked.

"No. You started this war and put my mate in danger", Cole replied.

"Oh come on. Don't pretend like she didn't like it. She loved it. Didn't you Isabel?", Justin asked.

"How do you know my name?", I asked.
