I'm sorry!! I've been out a while because I'm taking my driving licence and I need to study and practice!

Here's a new chapter that I managed to write these days, hope you like it!

(SPOILER: Bad things are about to happen...)

(Richard's POV)

I was driving to the nearest hospital in London, not because Olivia was hurt, but because she was probably in shock. I know she is practically my boss and I maybe I was getting too close to her but I didn't really care. Boss or not I couldn't simply let her be and move on. In the meantime, while I was driving, I called Dr.Evans and told him about what happened and we should probably have dinner only, without going out. He agreed and told everyone else about the change of plans. They were all sending me texts asking about Olivia, but their answers had to wait.

-Evening, sir. She was almost hit by a car, but I could save her. She passed out soon she got inside the car. –I said to the nurse while other male nurses were laying her down in one of those typical hospital beds with wheels.

-You're the husband? – he asked me. I felt embarrassed at first and It took me a while to answer. The reason? I didn't know exactly...

-No... –I told him, following them inside. They took her to an infirmary and I stayed at the reception. I gave them all I knew about her, which was basically her name and age. A flashback came into my mind when I was signing a paper. Her pale face sleeping in that bed, with nurses around her. I was worried, maybe a little too much. I felt really attached to her and I needed to stop it.

After 30 minutes they said I could go inside to see her. I went to the infirmary and she was sitting in a bed, talking to a doctor. I stayed in the corner for a while, just until the doctor left. Then she noticed me. Her skin was paler than ever and she looked exhausted.

-How are you feeling? –I asked in a low tone, pulling a chair and sitting in front of her. She kept her head low and sighed deeply.

-I'm still... trembling. My head is still a bit dizzy. –I could hardly hear her voice. I gave her some time to breath and think. Then she looked up at me and I felt bewitched with those eyes, those lips...

-How...? How did you save me?

-My apartment is at the corner of the cemetery you were walking out. I had a walk to get some fresh air before going to the restaurant when I saw you. Everything stoped around me in that moment and I knew I had to do something. That's why I ran to catch you and... avoid the worse. –I explained, calmly. She smiled softly and put her hair behind her ears.

-I don't know what to say... Thank you for saving me, of course, but you could get yourself killed. –she looked worried. I felt my heart skipping a bit, she was just like and angel, looking at me with that concerning look on her face.

-I thought it worth the risk. –I said without even knowing what I was saying. What was I thinking?! She's my boss, she's not any ordinary woman that I can speak nice to. She didn't say anything else. The doctor came back with some medicine to ease her nerves.

-I called Dr.Evans and told him about the accident. They will be waiting for us at the restaurant, but if you're still feeling bad, then it's better if we cancel it. –I said, looking at her, hoping she would look at me.

-I'm feeling better, thank you, Mr.Armitage. –she said, stretching her back and getting up from the bed.

-Mr. Armitage, I don't know if this is wiser but, can you please drive me back to the place you caught me? I need to get my car. –she asked, grabbing her bag and putting her jacket on. I smiled to myself.

-Of course I will, Miss Rogers. –I answered, opening the door for her. We thanked the doctors and left. It was just a scare and Olivia was in shock, but, thank God, she was feeling better. We went outside to my car and made our way on the road.

-Wiliam, Christopher and Mitchell. –she said in a very lost tone. I didn't really get it at first, but I was a bit uncomfortable to ask.

-What?

-The reason why I was at the cemetery. Every month I go there to visit them, my three men. William, my husband. Christopher, my oldest son and Mitchell, the youngest. –she said, looking straight forward to the road. She sounded sad, lost. I didn't know exactly what to say, so I just sighed.

-I'm sorry. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, if it makes you feel worse than you are. –I finally said. From the corner of my eye I could see her smiling sadly.

-I'm your Director, but that doesn't stop me from being your friend. –she said. I felt like those words were hugging my heart.

-You're right, Miss Rogers. –I said, as we both laughed softly.

(Olivia POV)

Life was risky, everything was, even love. But there is nothing wrong with a friendship, right? Richard, he's... He's very handsome, I must confess. When I'm at home, trying to sleep at night, I think about how humble and respectful he is. But still, I must not compare him to William... I cannot risk my heart and my life again and Richard was complicating things for me. Falling in love again? That was out of my plans, for sure. I couldn't simply fire him from The Independent, when he just got in and his writing is very good. I had to stop thinking about him and focus on my work.

-Thank you, Mr.Armitage. See you in two hours, at the restaurant. –I said, while leaving his car. When I closed the door, he opened the window.

-Are you sure you are ok to drive? I could drive you home. –he said. I stoped. I wanted to, but why did I want him to drive me home? I couldn't.

-Yes, I am sure. I'm your boss and, just because we are getting to know each other, it doesn't mean you can have all the perks you want. Thank you again. –I said, in a harsh tone and got inside my car. I didn't want to be harsh with him, but it had to be. I only knew him for a week! But those eyes, cursed me in a way that I don't know if I have enough strength to stop it.
