(Richard's POV)
One day after Christmas, I moved to Olivia's place. Before Christmas, I packed the necessary things, so I could bring the rest little by little. My cats loved the house! They had a lot of places to explore and they were absolutely loving it. Theodor got lost a million times already and I had to put Kasimir and Mirtle looking for him and bring him back. They met Olivia's horses as well, but we tried to keep the cats inside because there was still a lot of snow outside.
-I have to get to my flat and get some more things. –I said, finishing the brunch she prepared for us.
-All right baby, I might just stay here. I'll put your clothes organized in the closet, ok? –she said, taking the dishes to the sink.
-Yes, thank you. I'll be back in some minutes. –I said, getting up and kissing her lips softly. I held her back and brought her closer to me. She surrounded her arms to my neck and I smelled her hair. Lavender...
-I'm not ready to go back to work... These Christmas vacations with are being so nice and, even when I do everything in my laptop, the guys in The Independent are doing a great job... I wish we could live like this forever. –she said, making a childish voice and a sad face. I laughed and kissed her forehead.
-I know, sweet. But look. I'm already moving in and that is a great thing, isn't it? –I said, trying to cheer her up.
-Yeah... -she said, still looking sad.
-And we can't stay on vacation forever. We both know we have to go back to work tomorrow. –I said, bringing her back to my hug.
-I know... Now, move your ass. I'll be here waiting for you. –she said, kissing me and turning around to do the dishes. I put my jacket on and grabbed my keys.
-I'll be right back. –I said, before leaving.
Moving with Olivia was a great deal for me. I've always shared a house with my parents since I was a kid, until I moved to the university. Of course I shared some nights and weeks with my girlfriends in that time, but nothing compared to this. Olivia was the woman of my life and living with her 24/7 was a dream coming true day by day. I had everything I needed to be a happy man. I had my parents safe and healthy in my hometown, my family was safe too, my cats were happy and my future wife was... the light of my life.
When I opened the door of my flat I was shocked for 2 seconds. Shocked because everything was so empty... The couch was still there and all the furnitures, but there was no colour, no life, no warmth. I was going to miss my flat of course. It was my own place, my little corner for years and now it was so empty. I took some objects that meant a lot to me, like some paintings and my books, DVD's, some stuff from my kitchen and I also took my toaster, because Olivia's was broken. I moved along the corridor and I got inside my room. So empty as well. All my clothes disappeard, my shoes, ties, perfumes... I shook my head and brought my hands to work. I had to pack a few more things, some summer clothes and some things from my bathroom like cleaning products and random things. When I had a box full of stuff, I made my way out. I was not selling that flat because we never know what can happen and I might need it again, one day. But, still, it looked like I was leaving a very old friend forever and I was just waiting for it to die alone. I know, I have strange feelings about random things, but they are my things... I closed the door and moved on to my car. I had to let it go.
(Olivia's POV)
I was in my closet, taking Richard's clothes out of the boxes and setting them ready in an empty area in my closet. I was smiling all the time... It was happening, Richard was moving in with me. I could do his laundry, make his lunch and dinner, take care of his cats, wake up every morning by his side. I felt butterflies in my stomach just to think of how much my life was changing. When I was putting one of his ties next to the others, I felt a huge desire to throw out. My stomach was running in circles and my head was squeezing my brain a little.
-God, I knew that cheese wasn't tasting right... -I said to myself, when I made my way to the bathroom and leaned my head in the toilet. I threw up, everything I ate for brunch. It was Christmas, two days ago. It's normal, we all ate and drank so many things and I'm not used to eat that much in my day life. When I finished, I got up, washed my face and looked myself in the mirror. My skin was a mixture of white and yellow and I had huge dark circles under my eyes. It was weird... I made myself to the kitchen and prepared a cup of tea. Sophie wasn't here these days, she was enjoying her vacation too. I felt my stomach relaxing a bit, but the nausea was still there. Two minutes after, Richard came inside with a huge box in his hands.
-Hey! –he greeted, putting the box on the floor. I tried to act normal, I didn't want him to be worried with me.
-Hey! You ok? –I asked, kissing him on the lips.
-Yes. I'm ready to unpack these things. –he said, sitting on the couch and opening the box. I touched my belly softly and felt the nausea coming again. I turned around and ran to the guest bathroom next to the kitchen.
-Olivia?! –he called. I heard his steps coming towards me, but my head was already in the toilet again. I felt his hands grab my hair gently and pull it back, while I threw out all my tea. When I finished, I sighed, cleaning my mouth with some tissue.
-Go, Richard, you don't have to see this. –I said, cleaning my face. He pushed the button of the toilet and grabbed my face in his hands.
-In a few days, we will both say yes to «for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.» I don't care if you throw up every day, I care about you. What's wrong, my love? –he said, making me blush. How could someone be so kind and sweet. I smiled, completely lost in those eyes... He helped me up and I washed my face with fresh water.
-I don't know... It's the second time I throw up today. My stomach feels... squeezed. –I said, cleaning my face with a towel.
-And your head? You feel something? –he asked, resting his hand on my forehead.
-It hurts a bit... -I said, resting my head on his shoulder.
-Come on, let's get you to the hospital. –he said, leading us upstairs.
Tan tan taaaaan!! What's wrong with Olivia? Find out in the next chapter muahahaha :D
