For this chapter (and probably the next one) I have only one thing to say: I hope you remember Amanda, the secretary from the first chapters, Dr. Evans's secretary.
Enjoy!

(Richard's POV)

I couldn't believe in my eyes. It was in another newspaper company, of course, which made it even worse.

-Who did this? –I asked Ian, getting up my chair. He looked sorry and lowered his head.

-I don't know Richard... I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do to help you. The police is looking for you, they are probably arriving here at any moment. –he said in a low tone. My heart was jumping out of my throat. I was afraid, yes. But I knew I was innocent and Olivia would prove it!

-I didn't do this, Ian. You know me! I wouldn't! –I said, widened, looking at him. He looked at me and gave a weak smile.

-Of course I knew you wouldn't. I know how much you love and care for Olivia, this is a huge lie that needs to be solved quickly. –he said, looking around in the room.

-Olivia will be arriving soon... -I whispered, almost to myself.

-Richard... Since I'm here, I've never seen her mad about something or someone. But this will make her explode. Don't worry, whoever did this will pay for it. –he said, touching my shoulder. It was all a matter of seconds, just like a movie. When I noticed, there was a bunch of police officers coming in the office. They came at me and I stayed still. Offering resistance would only make it worse.

-Mr. Armitage you are under arrest. –said one, while others locked my hands in a pair of handcuffs.

-What are the charges? –I asked, as if I didn't know what was happening.

-You are the big suspect for kidnapping your Director, Miss Rogers, and also for sexual abusing. –he said, taking me for my arms, ready to get me out of there. I was calm, there was no reason for me to be screaming or desperation. Just when we were about to leave the office, I saw her. She had the most mad face I've ever seen. Her hair flying with her rough movements of walking.

-Everyone stop, right now! –she shouted. That's my woman... The police officers stopped and the main guy stepped forward.

-Miss Rogers. Agent McCartney, Police Officer Command. –he said, however, he hadn't almost finished his sentence.

-I don't care who you are. Release this man immediately! –she shouted again, angry and mad as I have never seen before. Her eyes were red with anger, her voice was low and harsh.

-I'm afraid we cannot release him, Miss. He is suspected of...-she cut him off again.

-Kidnapping me? Is this even serious?! I'm here! Alive and safe. We are together as a couple, we've been together these days, I assure you that this is nothing but a filthy lie! Who payed you to do this? Han, commander? Who?! –I didn't know of whom I was more afraid of... The police or her. This was the bomb I always knew she was. This was her, Miss Rogers, the big boss. The police looked around, probably looking for an answer.

-Miss, please step aside and let us do our job. We are taking this man to the police station. –he said, leading the other police. I looked at her. My eyes filled with fear, however, I kept my calm posture. She came closer to me and whispered.

-I'll meet you there. Stay alert and be careful. –she said, softly. I saw small tears in her eyes and I smiled at her, giving her hope.

-It's ok. Be the great boss you are and find out who did this. I'll wait for you, my love. –I said, while the guys pulled me inside the elevator. The last thing I saw was her... Looking at me, worry and madness in her eyes. I didn't want to be at the office right now. She was exploding inside and that eruption was about to come out.

(Olivia's POV)

How... HOW! How could anyone do this to Richard... How? I felt my heart racing, my head was exploding. I had to solve this problem quickly and take Richard out of the Police. Evans stepped aside me.

-You called me? –he asked.

-Call everyone to the meeting room. Do it now. –I said, turning around and picking up the elevator. The biggest meeting room was upstairs, so I made my way there. All I could think about was in Richard... His eyes were sad and worried, his smile was so fake and lost... We were innocent, this was a huge lie. Little by little everyone start joining me and they were all taking their places in the chair along the big table.

-I want all the doors and windows locked in this building, security 100% alert. No one leaves this office without my concern. Everyone to the meeting room, 6th floor. Now. –I said on the phone that goes to each column of the building. Everyone, even the cleaning ladies that were in the building, came to the meeting room. I couldn't make any mistakes, I couldn't let anyone leave without I knew who did this. When they were all inside, I took the newspaper and opened in my hand, showing the front page to everyone.

-You all know that, this morning, The Independent woke up with this new. Well, I tell you: This is no news. This is a LIE! Mr. Armitage is my boyfriend, we are together and were about to announce it publicly. And then this happened... –I shouted. Everyone looked scared and that was really meant to. I was mad... I was more than angry, I was loosing my head!

-Someone here did this. Who did this?! –I shouted again. No one answered, like I thought...

-One of you broke into my house, took these pictures of me and Richard together and invented this stupid and filth new! Then, payed the newspaper and the police station to arrest Richard! Who did this?! –I shouted, tapping my hands on the table, making everyone jump from their chairs.

-If you don't speak now, you will suffer terrible consequences. Everyone here will pay for one's mistake. –Dr. Evans said, beside me. I was looking at each face in front of me and there was one who caught my attention. One person who I've never been found with... She looked at me, scared to death. Something inside me told me that she was guilty...

-Speak! Now! –I shouted again, feeling my throat hurt. I never speak like this, but this was more than a reason to. Just when I was almost sure it was her, she got up from her chair and looked me in the eyes.

-I did, Miss Rogers... -she said, her voice trembling with fear. I couldn't believe it... Dr. Evans was about to step forward and go to her when I stopped him with my hand. In fact, she was her secretary and he wanted to help her.

-No. Everyone leaves me alone with her... -I said, still looking at her. Everyone was leaving and I said the security guy to stay by the door. I closed the door when everyone left and I locked it. I felt my body burning inside when I turned around and looked at her.

-Well, well... Amanda. You better pray for God you don't lose your head today.
