(Olivia's POV)
Richard took me to the hospital that afternoon. I was feeling better, but my skin colour was still very pale and my stomach kept running in circles.
-I remember when you first brought me here. –I said, holding his hand while we sat down waiting for the doctor to call me. He looked at me and smiled.
-You almost died in front of me. If I didn't save you that day, much would've been different. –he said, pulling my neck and kissing my forehead. At that moment, I felt blessed. He was an angel. Then, I heard my name being called. I got inside the nursery and sat in front of the doctor.
-So, Miss Rogers, tell me what's wrong. –the grey haired man said, putting his glasses on and staring at me.
-Since yesterday that I've been throwing up after each meal. Even if I drink some tea, minutes after everything is out. –I said.
-Have you been eating something unusual these days? –he asked, writing down some things.
-Yes, I mean. Christmas was like two days ago and I ate a lot of stuff I don't normally eat. –I said, feeling my stomach running in circles again, just thinking about food was making me sick.
-Are you taking some medication? Pill or something?
-No, nothing. –I answered. He nodded and told me to get up. I laid down on the medical litter and I lifted my shirt. He massaged my belly up, down and sides and I felt a strong pain in my stomach.
-Oh, your stomach looks like a balloon! You're probably having a bacterial infection. –he said, helping me to sit down. My heart jumped a bit and I looked to Richard. He seemed worried, like I was. After the doctor checked my tongue and weight, he sent me to another nursery so they could take some of my blood to analyse it. In the meantime, the doctor gave me some medicine to ease the pain and help me eat something.
-So, what now? –I asked Richard, when I sat down in the waiting room, after taking blood.
-Now you will try to eat what I have here and we wait for the results of the blood tests. –he said, petting my hair and giving me a paper bag. It had some hot tea from Starbucks, a green apple and come cereal bars with honey.
-Where did you get this? –I asked him, feeling my cheeks blush. He was a heart of gold...
-There is a Starbucks just around the corner and a cafeteria here, so I managed to get you some supplies. My sweet sick girl needs to eat. –he said, laughing. I kissed his lips softly, how could he be so loving? Little by little, I ate everything he brought me and I felt a bit better. The medicine helped me eat without throwing out.
An hour passed and I was almost falling asleep in Richard's lap when the doctor called me. We got inside the nursery again and I sat down in front of him again.
-Feeling better? –he asked, smiling at me.
-Yes, thank you. I ate some soft food without throwing out. –I said, smiling back to Richard, who smiled at me, so cute and loving.
-Now let's see these blood levels. –he said, opening the envelope in his hands. He red it carefully and made silence for some seconds.
-So, doctor? Am I infected? –I asked, feeling nervous already.
-Yes, you gave a gastritis. The medicine I will give you will make you feel better. Make a healthy diet, no fried, fats, alcohol or anything. Only light food, ok? –he said, writing down on his papers.
-Yes, doctor. –I answered.
-I wish you all the best, Miss Rogers. Good day. –he said, shaking hands with us. We left the hospital and Richard pulled over near a drug store to buy my medicine. That was the last thing I saw, before I fall asleep on the car.
(Richard's POV)
I was making vegetable soup for dinner when Olivia woke up. I laid her down on the couch since she fell asleep inside the car. She looked at me, rubbing her eyes with her hands.
-Wacky, wacky, my boo. –I said, smiling at her. She stretched her arms back and sat down on the couch.
-How much time have I been asleep? –she asked me, looking like a baby girl that just woke up from a beauty sleep.
-Since... we stopped at the drug store. –I said, tasting a bit of the soup in the back of my hand. She nodded and got up, slowly walking towards me.
-Thank you, Richard... You're my angel. –she said. I hugged her near my chest and petted her hair. My gorgeous woman.
-I love you, Olivia, and I will take care of you. Like you took care of me when I had the flu. –I said, kissing her lips softly. She laughed and blushed, going to the sink and washing her hands.
-Here, I help you. –she said, taking the plates to the table. She set everything ready and I served the dinner.
-Soup... -she sighed, sitting down and looking at her plate.
-Oh yes, little girl, you will eat Armitage's soup to get better, or I don't like you anymore. –I said, joking. She laughed and pulled out her tongue. We ate our dinner calmly and I could see in her face that she was getting better. She was laughing and eating well. Then, I washed the dishes while she fed my cats. I mean, our cats. When everything was clean, we made our way upstairs.
-Richard, I was thinking... When do you want to marry? –she asked, coming inside the bed and lying down by my side. I was surprised by her question, because I haven't really been thinking about it.
-I don't know, Livy... You choose. –I said, smiling at her.
-Can it be... Next Spring? –she asked, her eyes sparkling at me. I laughed and kissed her nose softly, making her blush.
-Yes. Anything you wish, my love. –I said, kissing her lips softly. She sat on the top of me and kissed me deeply. I felt butterflies grow inside of me, but I had to stop her.
-Olivia, you are sick... You should rest. –I said, rubbing her cheek with my thumb.
-But... -she tried, while I cut her off with a sweet kiss.
-But nothing. You need to sleep, you are not fully recovered yet. When you get better, then you can have me. But not now, ok? –I said, petting her face. She looked sad and turned her back on me.
-Fine. –she said. I laughed and hugged her from behind. I kissed her neck and whispered.
-My grumpy bride. –I said, feeling her elbow hit my belly. We both laughed and with that, we fell asleep.

-Olivia?! Olivia, wake up! –I said, shaking her body softly. She was burning with fever, sweating, but her hands were freezing cold.
-Hum... I feel... weak. –she whispered, covering her body with the blankets. I jumped out of my bed, put on a random jacket and shoes. I grabbed her jacket, some trousers and boots.
-You are not ok, we need to get you to the hospital. –I said, trying to put her clothes on her. Her face was red, her forehead was sweaty and she was trembling with cold. I grabbed her blanket, picked her up on my lap and made my way to the car. It was near 5 in the morning when I loaded the accelerator, on my way to the hospital.
I'm sorry if this chapter is a bit bad and boring, but next one will be much better and exciting!! :)
