(Richard's POV)

After telling Olivia about my dream she didn't give me an answer. I saw her standing up and walking to my balcony, staring at the night outside. She stayed like that for long minutes and I thought it was time to end that. I managed to get out of my couch, due to my still existing fever, and walked closer to her. She noticed my presence behind her and sighed.

-I can't believe you saw them, grown up, talking, walking...When I only saw them as babies. I'm sorry Richard, I can't make any decisions now. Not after what you told me. -she said. Because I was standing behind her and I'm a tall guy, I saw her crying. A single tear fell from her cheek and it broke my heart. I opened my arms and hugged her body from behind, covering ourselves with my pre-warm blanket. I felt her body tense and I heard her shy and hurt cry.

-Love is not a decision, it's a feeling. -I whispered, closing my eyes and resting my forehead on her head. Slowly, she turned around to face me and I saw those sky blue eyes sparkling, as the tears were falling down her face, dying on her lips.

-I barely know you, I can't just simply give myself to you like this! -she cried, leaving my hug and going away. I walked after her.

-Please, stop being so hard with yourself! I'm telling you, that dream was a sign of destiny, our destiny! Can't you believe me? Or your beloved William? -I said, raising my voice tone as she put her jacket and scarf on. She looked at me widened, probably shocked by my words. She came closer to me, staring deeply into my eyes. I felt my fever grow, not just because I was sick, but because I was getting really upset with her actions.

-Don't talk about William in that tone! I'm your boss and I demand respect from my workers! -she yelled in my face. When she was about to turn around and leave I grabbed her wrist, facing her.

-No, you don't talk to me in that tone, my lady! This is a personal issue and you're going the wrong way by telling me you're my boss! Being my boss or not, it has NOTHING to do with our situation, you understand me? Now I tell you: show me some respect, because I'm the man who loves you and wants you beyond anything! I'm here, alive, breathing, blood flowing in my veins. I'm all yours if you want me... Just... Forget about William. For more that it hurts, he's gone. -I said, feeling the power of my words. I know she might never want to see me again after what I said, but I had to say it. Maybe I crossed the line a bit, but she was playing with me like a toy, someone she can command. She looked at me widened, tears falling from her chin. I felt a bit guilty... She turned away, without saying a single word. Picked up her things and left. I felt my head swinging in circles and I sat on the couch. I kept watching her face, those once happy eyes, crying. She was screaming inside, I knew it. But what could I simply do? William was long gone, I said what I said and now... Probably I had lost Olivia forever.

(1 MONTH LATER)

December came and with it the snow. The streets were filled with snow everywhere, the kids in my neighborhood were playing outside everyday, building snowmen and skating on frozen lakes. That was something I really enjoyed. Cold, snow, Winter, Christmas... Although, I had a hole in my heart. Since I last fought with Olivia, she hasn't said a single word. I knew she was at the office, working every day, as I did too, but she refused to speak with me. I knew I was fully guilty of it, but I didn't regret it 100%.

-Hey, do you want to go outside and watch the snow? -Ian said, while putting his jacket on. It was the end of another day of work and I was tired.

-Yes, let's be kids again and build a snowman. -I said, with a childish voice. Amanda came with us and another friend of ours. We were happy. Soon as we got outside the building we crossed the street carefully and walked to the nearest park. The weather was windy and the white snow everywhere made me chills. When we got there we saw a group of kids playing with their parents and I felt a bit sad. I imagined how it would be like to have kids and play with them in the snow. My thoughts were harshly interrupted by a ball of snow, directly on my face.

-You bastard! -I said, laughing out loud. We started a big snow fight and I couldn't stop laughing. Amanda's presence made me forget a bit about Olivia. She was a nice girl too, but nothing compared to my Miss Rogers.

-Come on man, I'm tired! -Ian yelled, taking cover behind a wooden bench. I saw Amanda running behind me, ready to throw the next snow ball to me. As I already had one in my hand, I turned around quickly and thrown it with all my strength. Sadly, it hit someone else. The lady was skating on the frozen lake and when the snowball hit her face, she lost her balance and fell, hitting hard with her bum on the ice. I instantly felt my heart jump to my throat and I started running towards her.

-Oh my God! I'm so sorry, It was supposed to hit someone else! Are you ok, miss? -I asked, kneeling near her and completely ignoring everything else around me. She removed all of the left snow on her face and stared at me. At last, I met those blue eyes again.

-Olivia...! I-I'm terribly sorry, I didn't know it was you. -I said, mumbling on my own words. She looked shocked at first, but then she burst with laughing and I did too.

-You... stupid kid. -she said. I helped her up and the rest of the guys joined me.

-Oh, it's Miss Rogers! Are you ok? -Amanda asked, touching her face gently.

-Yes, I'm fine. It was just a fun slide. -she said, making us all laugh. I was impressed that she knew how to ice skate. I looked at her and she smiled softly.

-Ok, we will leave you alone. -Ian said, getting the girls away. We stared at each other for some seconds and then she spoke.

-Long time no see... -she said, skating slowly, while I walked beside her.

-Indeed. How are you? -I asked. She made her way to a wooden bench and sat down, taking off her skates. She took her bag and put on her shoes.

-We should talk. Dinner tonight? My place. I'll text you the address. -she said, getting up and leaving. It was a bit awkward that I saw her in this situation, after a month, and also, the way she took her things and left. However, I was excited by her invitation and I decided to go home and get ready to have dinner with her.
