I hope you enjoy this chapter!! ♥

(Richard's POV)

After searching and searching on the internet, we finally decided what to do with the twins' room. Olivia and I agreed on soft colors on the walls and furniture also. We wanted to use strong colors on the toys and books, so the room would be softer. She stayed at home with Sophie, organizing all the clothes we set in the other room, and I left to buy what I needed: paint and brushes. I bought two cans of light grey colour that, depending on the light, it could look a bit like blue. Olivia also told me she wanted the cribs to be white, so I also bought white paint. I decided to do the cribs by my own. That way I'm more confident with what I'm doing and I want my babies to be safe. It was Saturday afternoon, so we could still paint the walls on that day. When I grabbed my shopping basket to pay my things and leave, I noticed some lights that would fit perfectly in the twin room. They were all white paper balls, hanging in one string that, once you connect to the outlet, they all light up and fade little by little in an alternative motion. I found it quite cute and I knew Olivia would love it. I grabbed one of those and then I made my way.

(Olivia's POV)

-Sophie, what about this? –I asked her, showing my sketch. We were eating some scones with tea in the kitchen and I took a sketchbook to draw some of my ideas for the room.

-Well, this one looks very pretty. It would be beautiful on the wall! –she answered. I pictured a white tree with a lot of branches with yellow and blue leaves. Yellow for Autumn and blue, of course, for James Tyler. I wanted to skip the tradition of pink for girls, so I chose a colour that goes along pretty well with blue. On the tree, I wanted to have some animals, but I wasn't sure which. I drew a koala and an owl and asked Sophie which one she thought it looked better.

-I really like the koalas, miss. They are very tender and it's different! We keep seeing owls everywhere, koalas are so cute too. –she answered, drinking her tea.

-I agree with you... I think I might put two of them with bigger lashes and blushed cheeks, to look more girly, and the others will stay simple. –I said, getting the book back and sketching a few more things.

-How are you feeling about living this all over again? –she asked, looking at me. I sighed.

-Its... terrifying. On the good way, of course. Will you ask if I'm not afraid? Yes, I'm deadly afraid... I don't want to go through all that nightmare again. –I said, almost in a whisper. I touched my belly with both of my hands and I felt soft movements inside. My babies were probably fighting for some space, poor children.

-But everything's going to be all right. You know why? You're not the same Olivia I met. You've grown stronger than before. I believe your marriage with Richard was the miracle you needed to be back to life. –she answered, smiling. She was like a mother to me and, every word she said, was right. I smiled at my belly, then at her.

-It really was... I love that man, so much... -I whispered, staring at my tea. My head running around Richard. The way he dressed warmly, took his keys and kissed me goodbye about an hour ago. Speaking of the devil, he came home.

-Hey, hey ladies! –he said, smiling at us.

-We were just talking about you! –Sophie said, getting up and cleaning our table.

-Really? Tell me, Sophie. Did my wife talk bad things about me? –he asked, taking off his jacket and coming closer to us. He leaned on and kissed my lips, then, on his knees, he kissed my belly softly. Since the beginning of my pregnancy, this is the way he says 'Hi' when he arrives home. He was a loving father already...

-Terrible bad things, mister! –Sophie answered, making us laugh.

-I have everything to paint the walls. Are you on? –he said, smiling excited at me.

-Let's do this! –I answered, going upstairs with him. We wanted to paint the entire main wall, so it could dry during the night and be ready for the next step on Sunday. Richard showed me the light bulbs he bought for the twins and I found it so lovely! I wanted to tangle them around their cribs and light them, so they won't be afraid of the dark. We were imagining everything... Building their room step by step was awesome. We knew we were doing that for our babies and, every time I looked around be, I could see Autumn jumping inside the crib, crying to come out to my lap, when James would already be eating his breakfast with daddy in the kitchen.

-What are you thinking? –my husband asked me, painting my nose with his dirty finger.

-Ah, bastard! I'm all grey now! –I cried, cleaning myself with my old T-shirt I was wearing. He laughed and pulled me into a kiss.

-Now. What were you thinking?

-I was thinking about our life in a few months... I just want them to be safe and healthy, you know? I want us to have everything we never did before. It doesn't have to be perfect, but –he cut me off with another kiss. It made me fly to the skies of another world. He held my back and brought me closer to him.

-Your belly is growing, I can't even hug you right! –he joked, making me laugh. He was amazing, he always found a way to distract me from bad thoughts. –It's going to be ok, yes, my love? I'm here, our families are here, Sophie is here... You have everyone on our side, ready to help us whenever we need. Don't get monkeys in your head, ok? –he said, smiling at me. I nodded and kissed his lips once more, standing on my tip toes.

-I love you, my man. –I whispered, rubbing my fingers in his beard.

-I love you too, queen. Now, let's finish this wall! –he said, taking the brush in his hand and going back to work. I think we wasted half of the paint on painting ourselves than painting the wall properly, but we had so much fun. At the end of the day, we ended up in the bathtub full of soap, relaxing our muscles and getting rid of all the paint left on our skin. My husband gave me a sweet massage while washing my hair softly that I had to use all my strength not to fall asleep in that moment. He was so loving, making sure I was ok all the time... We stayed there a long time. Just us, the hot water and the soap. Our eyes closed, bodies glued to each other. Hands always searching for a new place to touch. And his voice was humming a sweet song, something I've never heard before. His arms wrapped around me and the beautiful sound of his voice was all I needed to surrender and finally fall asleep.

I will continue to write the evolution of the room and It will be done in the next 2 or 3 chapters! After this, I will skip to the twins' birth, but don't think it's too early. There is a reason for it, but I can't tell you! You will find out soon :)
