 6 years later

(Richard's POV)

-Come on kids, we can't lose this plane! –I said, waiting for them outside next to the car. I heard them giggle still inside the house. I saw Autumn running outside, laughing loud with a teddy bear in her hand. She looked at me and looked scared. She was so triky and playful all the time, so I ran to catch her.

-Come here, you little frog! What are you running away from, hun? –I said, picking her up in the air and tickling her belly. She laughed, trying to get away from my arms as fast as she could.

-Tyler! He's going to get me and steal my place in the car! –she said, pointing at the door. I put her down on the floor, so she would go to her seat. James came running too, looking for Autumn tirelessly.

-What are you looking for, little man? –I asked, crossing my arms in my chest and with my eyebrows furrowed. He bit his lips and looked defeated.

-I wanted to take Autumn's seat in the car... I'm sorry dad, that is mean. –he said, in a low tone. I was touched by his honesty, so I walked closer to him and picked him up.

-You two have your seats in the car, right? So, there is no reason for you to take your sister's seat, yes? –I explained, smiling at him. He bit his lip again and smiled at me. I walked to the car and sat them down on their seats and tied their belts on. When I finished, I looked at the house once again. There she was, my queen. Wearing a pink summer dress, with her sunglasses on and sandals. So beautiful, just like the first time I saw her.

-Are the kids in the car? Are they ready? –she asked, coming closer to me. I nodded, taking her hand in mine. I grabbed her chin softly and lowered, so I could kiss her lips. She still had the same taste like the first time I kissed her. Our sweet moment was broken by a long «Euck!» coming from James. We both laughed and made our way to the car.

-Ok little pumpkins, now listen to mommy. We are going on a trip today, so I want you two to behave well, yes? Don't ever leave mom or dad's side and if you want to go to the bathroom, don't forget to ask. –she said, putting her seatbelt on. I touched her knee softly and giggled.

-Yes, mommy. We know. –I whispered, making her blush. We quickly made our way to the airport. It would be the first trip of Autumn and James and they were pretty excited about it. We were going somewhere we never forgot about, somewhere very special for me and Olivia. Somewhere we had a countryside house just for us. Somewhere where we could be happy with no worries.

(Olivia's POV)

Autumn and James fell asleep on the plane. We woke up very early, so they were tired. I was petting Autumn's brown hair softly, while Richard rocked James in his lap. Then, I looked at the window by his side. That view we remembered so well. All the green fields framed by tall trees. The small country houses here and there, followed by long and thin rivers that flowed into the city of tulips. Richard made his promise true. He bought one small house in Zaanse Schans, one of the locations we visited in the Netherlands in our honeymoon. We were taking the kids there for a one week vacation in family. I made God a promise. If my kids were both healthy and safe, I would bring them to Amsterdam and surroundings. And that was coming true. Richard smiled at me, while trying to wake up James slowly, because we would be landing soon.
