Recap-

"Well, you haven't seen any of us for 60 years.. Minus Gandalf. Why not drop a few hints?" He winked.

"Like what?"

"Well... Like you knew Kali, your mother."

"Thank you, Balin. It's wonderful to talk to you again - as a friend, mentor."

"Yes, well we should go to sleep. We're leaving at first light. Goodnight lass."

---- Early Morning ----

I got up, and got ready to join the Company. Gandalf wasn't coming - He pulled me aside and told me last night. Gandalf seemed a little different, like something was bothering him. So now I was confused, worried and nervous.

After the last time he left... They nearly died. I was next to no help.

Needless to say I couldn't get much sleep.

And I was drained, sore from yesterday.

We started out bright and early, just like Balin said. - At first light. Earlier than usual. Thorin must be concerned about being caught while leaving Rivendell.

It was a rather quiet journey, for we were spread out. Which, I didn't think was smart. What if we were attacked, again?

We traveled through plains, on the ridges of mountains - the view of the  mountains on our left...

Fact; Led Zeppelin made/wrote around 5 songs for Lotr & Hobbit! (Their lead singer was obsessed with both Lotr & The Hobbit!)

Then, at dusk it started to rain when we reached them - The Misty Mountains. Thunder could be heard throughout the sky, lightning could be seen, also.

One wrong step, and we were dead. Did I mention that I despise heights?

A boulder came flying our way

"Look out!" Dwalin yelled.

"Oh, shit." I said as we ducked from the falling rubble.

Screaming could be heard.

"This is no thunderstorm. It's a thunder-battle!" Balin said, amazed yet panicked.

"..Thunder-battle?"

'I remember him telling me about those.'

The mountain then began to form huge humanoid shape creatures, carrying boulders.

"Well, bless me! The legends are true! Giants! Stone-Giants!" Bofur said amazed.

"Get away from the edge, you fool!" I yelled, pulling him back.

Another boulder was hurled our way, and soon our ledge started to move.

Kili, Gloin, Oin, Bofur, Nori, and I were being spread apart from the others.
