Recap-
"Hey, cousin! What took you so long?"
I quickly looked where the voices were coming from, spotting red and dark hair - much like mine. 'Adad and Dain.'
They were hugging, "There's too many of these buggers, Thorin." Dain spoke. "I hope you've got a plan."
"Aye." He replied, looking towards Azog.
I followed his gaze, 'he better not do what I think he will..'
"We're going to take out their leader."
"Azog?" Dain whispered.
"Gandalf.. Thorin's lost his marble's!"
"Go, you must follow him!" He spoke urgently, panicked.
Adad quickly got on a Mountain Goat.
"I'm gonna kill that piece of filth."
I heard many more yells, Dwalin being one.
"Gandalf... I have a very bad feeling about this!"I looked on as I saw Adad, Fili, Kili, and Dwalin ride off into the mass of Orcs, towards Azog.
How would I catch up to them?_________________
*apostrophes ' in 'italics are thoughts... I really should stop posting this.'
-drops phone- Ack!
*uhm, oh! You'll see more Black speech in this chap. Which will appear like - *within these star symbols, named the "asterisk" in bold lettering... So yus, that'll be the Black Speech.*_____________
I looked back at Gandalf "Wish me luck.."
"Good luck, young one."
Before painfully changing into the form of a hawk, once more.
I looked through the massive crowd of Orcs, trying to spot Adad, Fili, Kili and Dwalin. It wasn't that hard considering they were the only Dwarves still on goats...
'Where did Dáin get those goats from, anyway?'
I followed my family from a distance in the sky, Aüle only knows if they knew I was following them...
Soon enough Adad lead them up a staircase made of rock, the goats tossing orcs out of the way for them. While they would fight from their steed's back.
As I flew behind them, I saw a huge number of Orcs, but not so many that they couldn't take on. I decided to stay hidden until they absolutely needed me.
When that will be? I'm not sure.
I watched on from a rock, Dwalin and his battle Axe's Adad and his sword... They were furious. Fili soon came into the picture also, he and his goat did an interesting move. The goat ran, and used the second flight of stairs as a.. spring-board of sorts. The goat bounced off of it, then as his goat reached the ground, Fili flipped off of him - or her. He didn't climb off... he flipped off, then attacked yet another near-by Orc.
'Will these things ever stop coming?'
Kili was nearby, like always, fighting with his sword this time.It was deadly silent. Fog covered the area. Nothing moved...except for our group and myself.
"Where is he?" Kili asked.
heads started examining the area, what was going on?
"It looks empty. I think Azog has fled." Kili went on.
Adad looked around. "I don't think so. Fili.. Take your brother. Scout out the towers. Keep low and out of sight. If you see something... report back. Do not engage. Do you understand?"
Dwalin suddenly spoke, gaining my attention.
"We have company." He spoke.
Goblins then came into sight. 'what should I do? should I reveal myself?'
"Goblin mercenaries. No more than a hundred." Dwalin spoke.
"We'll take care of them. Go!" Adad spoke.
'great, they're splitting up! Stupid Dwarves.'
I decided that it was enough watching, and it was time to start acting. So, I quietly - and as painlessly as I could. Changed back into my human form, plan already in my mind.
Where there's ice, there is water. Right? Since I don't see any trees...
I got to my feet, and took in the scene - my head just barely visible from behind the bolder. I wasn't fighting....yet.I took slow calming breaths, blocking out those around me, and connecting with nature. As I became one with nature I could feel the battle that was raging, the water beneath us, and a..pounding? Coming towards us from the North. 'More troops..' My eyes snapped open. 'its a trap.'
I quickly began the ritual again, I had to if I wanted to save them. Soon enough, Nature and I were connected enough that she would help me.
I quietly, nicely asked her if she would help my family - knowing that she was feeling what I was, but more intensely of course.
Soon after, I saw a wave appear in front of my family, shoving back the Goblins.
I sent a silent, exhausted. "Thank you."
Only a handful were left, miraculously.I didn't stay around to see their reactions.
I knew I had to find Fili and Kili - I only hoped my body could take what I was going to do to it.
Once again I changed into the hawk form and took off in the direction they went.
As I flew over the tunnels, I heard Fili's voice with my hawk-like hearing. "Hey, stay here search the lower levels. I've got this." But also, an odd noise that I couldn't quite place...
I heard more and more odd noises each one getting louder, and sounding more strange.
'come on Fili, come on! Where are you?'A drum then sounded through-out the air...Very close to where I was.
Too close for comfort.'oh, shit.'
Out of the corner of my left eye, I saw Azog - With Fili.
No words could describe how I felt.
*This one dies first! Then the brother! Then you, Oakenshield. You will die last.*
'Oh hell no!'
"Go." Fili said. "Run!" he screamed.
How could I save him?
My form wasn't strong enough to carry Dwarves... He would die!
I'll have to take a chance.I flew in, full force and pecked Azog's hand that held Fili. And flew away at lightning speed, in zig-zags.
I watched him fall in slow motion...
