Recap-
"My daughter should be close by, you will listen to her from now on. Is that clear?"
She nodded her head vigorously, "yes, your majesty. Crystal clear."
"Good, you are dismissed."
"And Layla? No harm will come to you here."
She turned around, "Thank you."
I watched as she left the Throne Room, and began to think 'Arietta was indeed correct about her...I sense a possible change coming.'

(Arietta POV)I was leaning against the wall, outside of the Throne Room silently wondering what was going on inside. Yes, I was too curious for my own good, sometimes.
It was when my back started to hurt, that Layla appeared. She looked a bit shocked, yet happy.
"What did the King have to say?" I asked, walking towards her.
"H-he's letting me stay..." She begun, "-As long as you are close by."
I smiled.
"That sounds just like my father now-a-days. Understanding at times, yet not that trusting."
It reminded me of the Journey, the Quest. Sort of. It was very hard to gain his trust.
"So, Layla, would you like a tour of The Last Great Dwarven Kingdom of Middle-Earth?"
Her eyes widened. "Yes! I would love a tour. I've read about your Kingdom all my life...when my father would let me, of course."
"Well, lets get to it then!" I led Layla down various corridors, showing her the Arms Room, Dining and Kitchen rooms. Then on our way to the Library, we ran into a few of the Company. Balin, Nori, and Ori.
We soon came to a stop in front of them, Layla had tensed up, no doubt nervous about the company.
I gently laid my hand on her arm, "Relax Layla, these Dwarves are some of the greatest people I have ever known." I gestured to the three of them.
"Good evening, Princess Arietta." Nori greeted me. "-Who do we have here?"
"Good evening, Nori, Balin, Ori. This, is my new friend Layla."
Balin was the first to step forward and bow, "Balin, son of Fundin at your service." He spoke.
Nori was the next to step forward. "Nori, at your service." He spoke rather gently, with a bow.
Ori, was of course the last. And the most timid. He stepped forward, slowly. "Ori, at your service Miss Layla."
I could see Layla starting to come out of her shell, she was becoming less nervous.
Layla walked closer to them, "Thank you, It's a pleasure to meet all of you."
"Layla just spoke with The King, and he has decided that she will stay with us." I informed them.
