Recap-
We once again hurried to the entrance. Only to see The Dwarves on the Balcony.
"Ah crap." I spoke under my breathe.
We slowly walked up to them, I peaked out from behind Kili's shoulder.
"Elves.. They're everywhere!" I told Gandalf and Bilbo. "Oh, we are so dead."

I then noticed a man on a white horse riding up. He looked awfully familure. 'Bard?'
"Hail Thorin! Son of Thrain, we are glad to find you alive beyond hope."
I gulped. Bad feeling, the very bad feeling was returning.
"Why do you come to the gates of the King under the Mountain armed for war?"
"Why does the King under the Mountain fence himself in like a robber in his hold?"
'oh now you've done it, Bard..'
"Perhaps it is because I am expecting to be robbed."
"My Lord we have not come to rob you but to seek fair settlement. Will you not speak with me?"
Thorin nodded his head, and Bard got off his beautiful horse.

Gandalf and I looked at each other, we knew what was going to happen...Well, probably happen. He wouldn't give Bard what he wanted. Dragon Sickness isn't called that for nothing, even if he might be healing from it...

I quickly rushed down to where my adad was, hoping I could do something what that something was? I have no idea.

As I reached my father, I heard Bard say "That armed host will attack this Mountain if we do not come to terms."
"And your threats do not sway me."
I stood their, in shock. There was an Army of Elves outside who had excellent eyesight, agility, hearing, and well.. They wouldn't be easy to kill. And here, my father is acting like a fool basically wanting a war!
"Thorin, please think this over. Do you really want to go into war? And what will be the cost? And the people of Lake-Town, haven't they lost enough?" I spoke from behind him.
"What about your conscience? Does it not tell you our cause is just? My people offered you help. And in return, you brought upon them only ruin and death." Bard spoke.
"When did Lake-Town come to our aid but for promise of rich reward?" Adad snapped.
I sighed and shook my head.
"A bargain was struck!"
"He's right, you made a bargain in front of their whole town. What kind of King would you be if you would not honor that?"
Thorin, glared at me. "I am the King under the Mountain and I will do what I wish!"

Then, and there I decided that it was up to me to help Bard, to stop this war between Dwarves and Elves - if I could.

"Tell me, Bard The Dragon-Slayer why should I honor such terms?"
"Because you gave us your word."
My eyebrows furrowed, that struck something in Thorin.. He looked, thoughtful. And maybe dare I say a little ashamed?
'it must be the Sickness fading, he doesn't look half-mad.'
"Does that mean nothing?"
And the half-mad look was back. 'well, at least he's getting better.'
Thorin slid away from the hole that they were talking through, and looked at me - I was taken back when he looked nice again, that mad-king look, face gone. He looked Exhausted. Troubled. Adad looked my way again before noticing the rest of the Dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf - the Company. Thorin then looked through the hole, towards Bard, I noticed he looked half-mad again.
I was beginning to get scared, was he going to have this split-personality, or was the Dragon-Sickness side of him going to leave? 'I hope it leaves..'
In that half-mad state, nothing good can happen. I closed my eyes and waited, hoping against hope that the dragon-sickness would temporarily fade when he would answer.
"Be gone!" He yelled. "'Ere our arrows fly!"
I heard Bard grunt in frustration, I felt for him and honestly, at the moment, I would like to be out their then in here. But, I knew that my family needed me, whether I'm safe or not. Family comes first.
