Stacey-
He was staring at me again... Through those chestnut, brown eyes, He was beautiful-I'm not going to lie-but I don't know why he was staring at me.
I'm not overly good looking; I mean I'm 17, slender with honey blonde hair and blue eyes. Typically sporty and tanned with the name to top it off, Stacey Sun. I am a grade A student and mostly focused on studies and homework more than social status, hair, nails and all that popular bitchy crap.
"I thought guys didn't like girls with brains" I murmured to myself, and his head shot up with a questioning look then he dropped his face down again to stare at his work.
His name was Cameron Chase; he was a typical 17 year old guy. He had a bulky build I could tell he lifted weights quite often. He had short dark hair, olive skin and he was quite tall-6'3" to be exact-. He drove a black Harley Davidson motorcycle and he wore tight fitting T-shirts and ripped pants, much to my liking.
He was perfect, except for one detail... He wasn't mine; his exquisite body belonged to Raquel Firmen.
Raquel was the person I loathed most in the world; she was thin with light, brown hair and turquoise, dip-dyed tips. She was the Head Cheerleader and always had to have the tightest pants and the hottest guys. She was the 'School Hooker', sleeping around with all the guys, and Cameron was blissfully unaware of everything. I wish I could show him that I was the one for him not slutty, skinny Raquel.
I stopped thinking about her and returned to my paper in front of me, only to be disrupted by the bell. I gathered my things and headed out the door... To find Raquel making out with the school football quarterback, Jake. Cameron quickly walked out of the room and into the scene that I was a witness of... his mouth dropped straight open.
"What the hell?!" He yelled. Raquel quickly broke away from Jake, panting. Her eyes wide in shock and her red lipstick smeared all over her mouth.
"Oh, hey, Baby" she smiled as she walked over and boldly traced a perfectly filed nail over Cameron's chest; he pushed her roughly off of him.
"Raquel, what in God's name are you doing?!" He yelled again, his eyes flaming with disgust.
"He kissed me, Cam! I-I-I," she stuttered
"Hell no, man! Raquel was all up on me!" Jake explained.
"Alright that's it Raquel, I didn't want to believe it at first but its true... You really are a slut! We're through!" He huffed as he turned towards his locker. I followed after him as my locker was one space down from his. He slammed his fist into the door and I jumped.
"Are you alright?" I asked afraid for his answer.
"Just peachy!" He spat out as he worked his combination lock.
"Oh...sorry. I didn't mean to upset you." I whimpered
"Sorry, Stacy," He knew my name. "You didn't do anything to upset me, it's just," He sighed
"It's just what?" I said arching on eyebrow at him.
He turned to look me in the eyes.
"I just thought that Raquel was special, you know?" He said solemnly, turning away. I snorted and he looked at me with wide eyes a grin breaking across his face.
"What's so funny?" he asked still smiling
"Just that you say that so seriously, did you really love her?" I asked
"I don't know about 'love'," He started "But I did like her... a lot"
"Really? Do you know how many guys have said that?" I questioned
"I probably don't want to know" he answered solemnly
"Sorry, Cam... I didn't mean to sound so...bitchy" I apologised
"You're not bitchy, Stacey. You're quite sweet"
"Thanks"
"You sing that often?" he asked me pointing to my iPod
"Sing? Me? No, no. I mean I do lessons but I'm not good at it" I blushed
"I doubt that, I bet you have a beautiful voice" he flashed a seductive smile
"Well you just lost all your money, I don't sing modern songs"
"I don't understand?"
"I don't sing genres like pop, rock or hip-hop"
"Oh, then what do you sing?"
I blushed "Opera..."
"Oh cool, what's that?"
"You know" I opened my mouth and pretended to sing, opening my jaw wide. He laughed a sweet laugh and I smiled back
"Can I get your number Stacey?" he asked, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"Um," I started "Sure!" I grabbed a nearby pen and ripped a page of my History book out. I scribbled my number on the page and handed it to Cameron.
"Cool, thanks. I'll give you a call, Stacy." He added with a wink.
The bell rang and I quickly gathered my things and headed to class, skipping all the way there. He was gonna call me!
