Cameron-

I sat silently in the old car while Stacey’s mother drove us to school. I hadn’t had a car ride to school since year 7, this could be damaging to my ego… “Mrs Sun?”

“Yes, Cameron?” she answered

“Can you drop us a block from school?” I asked

“Why?,” Stacey whispered “Afraid it will damage your ego?” she snickered

“Exactly” I answered truthfully smiling, she pulled back crossing her arms across her chest and looking out the opposite window

“Sure Cameron, Stacey do you want me to drop you off too?” her mother asked

“Yeah, mum. I’d like to walk with Cam.” She answered

“Alright,” she stopped at the near curb “How bout here?”

“This is fine, Thank you Mrs Sun.” I said as I exited the car

“Cameron!” Stacey’s mother yelled from inside the car, I popped my head in again

“Yeah?”

“It’s Margaret now” she said sweetly

“Thank you, Margaret” I added before stepping onto the curb. Stacey mumbled something to her mother then joined me.

“She likes you, a lot” Stacey added

“Really, I wouldn’t have guessed” I said nudging her playfully

“No, seriously she does”

“That’s nice, I’ve never had a mother like me before” I grinned

“You’re such a boy!” she teased

“Yeah, I defiantly am” I admitted before taking a quick glance over her beautiful figure. Blush spread right across her cheeks by the time I reached her face again.

“Can I ask you something?” she questioned

“Fire away” I smiled

“Why don’t you want to stay at my house any longer?” her eyes wide with desire,

“Boy, Girl, teenager, together, in house, at night” I laughed

“Be Serious!” she giggled

“I am! Your father obviously doesn’t want me in the house with you, and I don’t want to over stay my welcome.”

“You ARE welcome though, anytime” she answered

“I know, it’s just…” I sighed

“It’s just what? I don’t know what to say to you, you won’t accept any help and you can’t go home! So just stay at mine until your dad is non-psychopathic.” She argued

“My father is NOT psychopathic!” I yelled

“Obviously” she mumbled

“Look, Stacey I appreciate your hospitality but I need to face my father someday and its better that it’s now rather than 5 years from now when the hate fire has turned into a hate volcano.”

“Then go! But if your father kicks you out don’t you dare come to my doorstep and beg for a place to stay because I will shut the door on you no matter how cute you are!” her hands clasped over her mouth as she realised what she’d just said. The corners of my mouth started to lift,

“So… you think I’m cute?”

“Don’t let it get to your head Cameron Chase, it was said on impulse which makes it ten times less valuable” she stated turning away, I grabbed her shoulder turning her to face me, “Let go of me, Cameron!” she screamed and I cupped her mouth. Her eyes widened in shock at me as she struggled,

“I’m not going to hurt you I just need you to listen,” I whispered, and she nodded “No screaming?” I asked and she shook her head. I slowly lifted my hand but didn’t release her shoulder afraid that she would run. She looked at me with horrified eyes,

“C-Cameron I-I have to get to school.” She uttered truly scared

“No you don’t! C’mon ditch we can go out for that date I promised” I smiled trying to look as sexy as I could

“After this stunt you just pulled I’ll never go ANYWHERE with you again!” she spat, and I stumbled backwards her words hitting me like a dozen knives straight into my chest. She glared at me with her baby, blue eyes then turned away, walking the extra block to get to school. Oh shit man I thought I’m screwed.
