Cameron-

She was surprisingly chipper for someone who just got felt up by her best friend. Chatting about this and that, I didn’t say much. I just listened to how much she hated the rain or whether everyone should be vegetarian, I liked to hear her voice. It was so sweet, not a hint of hardness or cruelty. I could listen to it all day,

“Cameron,” she awkwardly stared at me “did you hear what I said?”

“No, Erm sorry. Could you please repeat the question?” I answered stuffing my hands in my pockets.

“It wasn’t a question, I was saying thank you for walking me home,” She waved to her house “Do you want to come inside?”

“I don’t think that would sit right with your parents.”

“They’re not home, Mum’s working late and Dad is too,” she sighed

“Well in that case,” I smiled. “I’d love to come in.”

“Great!” she blushed. “That sounded a bit desperate…” biting her plump, bottom lip she turned away, embarrassed by her comment, I just laughed,

“C’mon Stace, it’s all good” I assured turning her shoulder to look into her Sapphires of eyes. She led me towards her small house and we entered. I was overtaken by her houses beauty, it was like a replica of her personality. Bright yellow and gold walls bore lustrous photo frames with images of her early childhood, days at the park, at the beach and a couple of her and Jesse. I tensed at the sight of these, looking over each of their bodies seeing how close they really were. What is happening to you man? You’re not even her boyfriend, they’ve been best friends forever I thought.

Then I can upon a rather recent photo, of her and Jesse sitting on a park bench laughing together. Stacey was looking the other way but Jesse was looking at her like she was the axis that his world spun on. This really churned up my gut, I wanted to jump into the picture and whisk Stacey away from him. Make a memory like this with me and her, maybe we could…

“Hey Stace,” she turned “It’s supposed to be good weather on Saturday, do you wanna’ maybe go to the Beach…with me?”

Her eyes lit up, “Um, I’d love too, I’d have to ask my parents though…”

“Yeah, no that’s fine. I kind of figured that”

“Huh, what do you mean?”

“Nothing, just you don’t strike me as an ‘I don’t care what my parents think about me’ kind of girl”

She gave me a glare, but it wasn’t a scolding glare it was more of a ‘I can’t decide whether you’re a Nutcase or actually a Nice Guy’ glare. Never the less she smiled and walked over to the lounge room where she motioned for me to sit beside her with a wave of her arm. I complied and plopped down next to her on the rather small couch. As I sat our thighs touched and a spark floated up my leg and into my core, she eyed our legs then adjusted her gaze to meet my eyes, “Erm, do you- do you wanna’ watch some T.V.?” she asked.

“Sure… Actually how bout we put a movie on and do our homework on the floor?” I suggested

“That sounds…Okay” she admitted before she leaped off the couch and walked towards the front door to retrieve our bags, I grabbed mine and mouthed the words Thank you before settling down on the plush rug which lay in the middle of the floor in the lounge room. Stacey soon joined me with two glasses in her hand, one filled with Coke and the other Sprite. She handed me the Coke and I smiled,

“How did you know that I loved Coke?” I asked, a mischievous smile crept upon her face

“I have my sources…” she let her sentence trail off
