Stacey-
“Come on, you guys you’re going to be late for school!” my mother yelled up the stairs, I was in my room getting changed. I don’t know why Cameron was going to school today, if it were me I’d be at home for the whole week. All those smiling faces at school, with their mothers alive with their rosy cheeks and beating hearts… I was so lost in thought that I didn’t hear him come in,
“You ready yet? You’ve been in here for nearly 30 minutes” he whispered close to my ear, on impulse I swung around and smacked him square in the chest… he barley flinched, I pulled my hand back and studied his chest. He chuckled, “340 kilograms everyday” he boasted pointing to his abdomen, I snorted and looked down at my own mid-section. It wasn’t flabby by any means but I wasn’t lifting 340 everyday… “Chill, Stacey,” he soothed “Your perfect” this time I burst out laughing, he grinned “It’s true”
“Sure…” I let my sentence trail off
“What?,” he asked “you don’t believe me?”
“I believe you to some extent”
“And to what extent is that?”
“Well…,” I started
“Stacey! Cameron! School NOW!” My mother yelled, I playfully pushed Cameron away.
“Go! I need to get changed!” I chuckled
“Fine, I’ll wait outside.” He said as he walked out my bedroom door. I quickly got the rest of my clothing on which included my sparkly pink blouse and my long jeans with my new pink Rabens. I carefully applied my makeup and brushed my long hair letting it fall carelessly over my shoulders and back. I walked outside and into the lounge room where my mother was talking to Cameron. “No, Mrs Sun. I’ll be fine, Thank you so much for letting me stay for the night, even though I did it without your knowledge.” He smiled a dazzling smile, my mother would’ve swooned if she hadn’t caught my eye in time,
“Darling,” she purred “You’re finally ready! I was just talking to Cameron about staying here for a couple more nights.”
“And…” I questioned
“I flatly refused,” he admitted with a wave of his hand “I won’t be a burden”
“You’re welcome for as long as you need.” I assured
“No, it’s fine Stacey,” he said again “C’mon let’s get to school.”
“Alright” I gave in
“Oh and another thing Stace,”
“Yeah?”
“How are we planning to get there?”
