Stacey-
I looked out my bedroom window, it was starting to rain. I felt so sorry for Cameron; he was so young and he already lost his mother and on top of all that he’d virtually lost his father.
The rain was falling heavier now.
The door creaked open, and my brother emerged. “Hey Ty, what’s up?”
“Nothing, I just thought I’d check up on you” he smiled
“I’m fine. Just-“ I sighed “Just thinking” I turned towards the window again
“No you’re not, Stacey” he walked over to where I was sitting on the window sill and looked at me “We’re twins; I know when something’s up. Now spill”
“I’m just worried about Cameron, Ty. He’s going through so much, and I can’t imagine what he’s thinking” I focused on a car pulling into the driveway. A white Audi,
“Hey Ty?”
“Yeah?”
“Do any of your friends have a white Audi?”
“No. why?”
“Because one just pulled into the driveway” I looked at the figure emerging from the car.
Bulky build, about 18 maybe… he has a suitcase. Probably one of Zera’s ‘roomies’,
“Okay, bye Stace” I watched Tyler exit the room and the doorbell rang,
I jumped off the window sill and floated out my bedroom and down the stairs. I unlocked the door and opened it.
Cameron stood there dripping wet, suitcase in one hand and car keys in the other. He looked like he’d been crying and his knuckles were splitting, blood beginning to spray from the seams.
“Cameron, what’s wrong?” I asked, he just stared at me. His face was as pale as a ghost and his legs were beginning to quiver.
“Stacey-I-I-I don’t feel we-” he collapsed into a heap on the floor.
I screamed and knelt beside his un-conscience body, “HELP! Somebody! Please!” I yelled
“Stacey? What?” My brother, Tyler clasped his hand over his mouth “Oh My God!” he turned “Ethan! Call an ambulance!”
“NO!” I yelled “Don’t he’s coming too, I think” I looked down at Camerons fluttering eyelashes “Cameron,” I whispered “Cameron, are-are you alright?” Tyler grabbed my shoulder and knelt beside me, feeling on Camerons neck for a pulse
“He got a pulse, but it’s weak. I’ll call mum, she’ll come home and help him. ETHAN! Come help Stace put Cameron on the couch” Tyler yelled
“A-alright, Thanks Ty” I squeaked
“C’mon Stace, let’s get out of this cold”
My brother, Ethan lifted Cameron’s hefty body onto his shoulders and dragged him to the couch. I carefully took off his shoes and lifted his feet to the couch as well. I crouched beside his face, kissing it once on his forehead.
He came too immediately. His eyelids pushed open and his beautiful Chestnut eyes showed again.
“Cameron!” I was so relieved. I jumped onto the couch and hugged him
“Stacey… what-what happened?” he asked
“You just passed out, like totally gone. How were things with your father?” I urged
“Not good at all” He pushed his wet self up the couch into a sitting position “He kicked me out” running his hand through his drenched hair
“So you’re staying here?”
“No, no… I’ll stay at Georges”
“My parents would understand, Cameron”
“I know…”
“Then why won’t you?”
“Stacey as much as I love you, I just can’t stay with you forever-more” he looked down at his hands “I’ll have to find a place to stay…”
As much as he loved me surely that must have been a slip, he’s never told me he loved me before…
