Chapter 23:
Stacey-
My phone rang on the table beside me,
“Is it him again?” Cameron asked, and I lifted my phone to indeed find Jesse’s name plastered across the phones screen. He’d been like this for weeks now, calling me again and again. It was getting quite tiring “Let me answer it” Cameron offered
“No, that’d be like fuelling a fire with kerosene. I’ll let it ring…again” I sighed and returned to the homework in front of me
“He’s stalking you, you know that Stace?” Cameron questioned
“No he’s not… Jesse’s just confused” I explained, and Cam laughed. Pushing his half-done essay onto the ground he pulled me into his embrace and nestled his scratchy chin into my hair.
“There’s my girlfriend, forever the optimist” he chuckled and I giggled
“And there’s my boyfriend,” I loved that word “forever the smooth talker”
“Not my fault you drive me crazy, woman” he mumbled against my hair. His soft lips met mine once more and the ever present electric current zipped through me. It was like being electrocuted, and I loved every second of the sweet pain.
We kissed like that for many minutes, maybe even an hour… who knew! He pulled away, and smiled at me,
“You’re so beautiful, Stacey” he whispered, I returned his smile
“As you tell me, Cam” I answered
“When are you going to wake up and see yourself, S?”
“What do you mean? I see myself every morning in my messy bathroom mirror”
“No, Miss Smarty Pants!,” he chuckled “Really see yourself, the way I see you” he glanced over my figure
“Alright Cam, I get it…” I giggled and jumped off the bed, running down the hall
“Hey you, get back here!” Cam yelled after me, I heard him pound the stairs after me. I rounded the corner of the stairs and bumped into my brother Tyler
“Stace! Careful where you’re going” he ordered, Cameron round the corner and stopped
“Sorry, Ty… just playing” I answered, panting
“Well play somewhere else, I got a Science assessment to do.” He whined
“See ya, Ty” Cameron said. Tyler brushed past us and Cameron stepped towards me “You, girl are a trouble magnet”
“And proud to be” I chuckled “You thirsty?” I asked, walking towards the kitchen
“Yeah, I guess,” he answered. I opened the fridge and peered inside. I felt his cool hands slide down my back and wrapped around my waist, he nestled his face into the crook of my neck and kissed it gently. I turned around and faced him a small, mischievous playing across my face,
“Whaa-t?” he laughed
“Nothing” I said
“Obviously there is something you want to tell me, otherwise blush wouldn’t be spreading across your beautiful cheeks” he smiled sweetly
“Nothing is wrong, I’m here with you everything is perfect”
“I love you, Stacey” he smiled
“I love you too, Cam” he bent down and kissed me passionately, slipping his tongue in between my lips and exploring my mouth. I moaned softly and wrapped my hands around his neck, pulling him closer.
“Stacey please, can’t you fornicate with you boyfriend somewhere I cannot see you?”
I shoved him off me with a soft push, and turned my head to see Portia standing there,
“Well you weren’t here when we started, Porch” I answered, frowning
“Well, I’m here now. Jesus your worse than Ethan. Good afternoon, Cameron” she said politely pushing past us to grab a lemonade out of the fridge
“Whatever” I said poking my tongue out
“I saw that, Brat” Portia laughed as she slapped me on the shoulder
“Sorreee, Mum!” I laughed and walked away from the fridge. Sitting down I waved my hand in front of my face,
“Your pretty damn hot today.” He mentioned
“Yeah, it i--… Oh you sly fox!” I smiled. Cameron laughed, got up and slipped through the back door. I made the horrible mistake of chasing after him, he jumped out from where he was hiding in the corner, scooped me up and ran towards the pool, jumping in and drenching us both.
