Chapter 1: Darkseid Invades

Planet Earth

3:56 p.m.
   A city burned fiercely as it was under siege. Many buildings began collapsing from the blasts being fired by giant warships scattered across the sky. Tanks resembling dragon heads spewed fire throughout the streets.

Not only this city was suffering the attack, but all over the world for Darkseid, Lord of Apokolips, had come to destroy the Earth. He released hordes of his parademon army to destroy everything in their path.

But the Earth had not been forsaken, for it was being defended by its greatest heroes, the Justice League of America. Aiding the heroes in this battle were the villains of the Secret Society of Super Villains. This temporary alliance was formed until the end of this attack.

To best retaliate against the invasion, the heroes and villains were divided into small groups throughout the world to stop Darkseid's forces.

At the starting point of the invasion, the city of Metropolis, much destruction was occurring. Military forces were at their last ring of defense retaliating the Apokoliptian forces as best they could.

The parademons' appearance are huge, bulky creatures in golden colored armor, making impervious to the bullets shot at them. Their dragon-tanks and warships have given them the advantage in this battle.

  "All Hell is broken loose. Hold these creatures off and protect the evacuating civilians." A captain ordered his men. "We can't afford to lose more people."

   The captain shot at the incoming horde of parademons, but the bullets only bounced off their armor.

  "Seems this is how I die." The captain was incinerated by one of the dragon-tanks along with many of his men. The rest of the soldiers were being slaughtered by the parademons.

   A woman was running scared while holding her baby daughter in her arms to escape the parademons' slaughter. "Mommy, I'm scared." The little girl cried, snuggling her face on the woman's chest.

  "I know, baby. Just hold on tight, okay?" The mother clutched tighter to her daughter as she kept running towards somewhere safe.

   As she ran, the woman witnessed how the Apokoliptian forces kept massacring the military without mercy. 

   A parademon had jumped in front of the woman, stopping her in place as it roared in her face. The woman fell and dragged herself to a rock while holding her daughter.

  "Baby, don't look. Just stay tucked." The woman embraced the little girl as they both cried. The parademon came close to the woman and was ready to kill until a red beam sliced it in half.

  "Ma'am, are you hurt?" A voice asked from behind the woman. She managed to stop crying and turned around, seeing a man in a blue suit, red cape blowing behind, and his signature red 'S' symbol in the chest.

   Both the woman and little girl recognized their savior. "Superman!" The woman's daughter cheered at the sight of the Man of Steel himself.

   Superman came to their aid, saving them from death. "That's right. Let me get you out of here." The Last Son of Krypton picked up the woman and child, flying towards a militia station helping evacuating civilians.
