Chapter 9: Fall of the Justice League pt. 2

Clayface clobbered soldiers down that circled around him. He began tiring as Marauders surrounded him. "Wanna piece of me too?" He laughed, managing to crush one of the machines.

To his surprise, more showed up and aimed their flamethrowers at him. "Ahh!" Clayface was incinerated by the androids.

Elongated Man had knocked out several soldiers by wrapping around them. "This is getting out of hand." Ralph breathed, growing tired by the second.

   Livewire flew next to him and placed her hands on his head. "You might feel a light burn." She began shocking him and burned most of his face with the electricity.

  "That was a dirty move." Elongated Man flung Livewire off him. As he stood up, Enchantress appeared from behind and winked at him. "Trust me, Ralph Dibny. All will be well."

Enchantress' words confused the Elongated Man as she made him vanish in a bright flash. When the flash died down, Enchantress angered. "How dare she meddle in my affairs." She muttered to herself. 

  "Ralph!" Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman cried in terror, seeing their friend disappear in thin air.

   Superman flung a car on top of Killer Croc. Seeing he'd lost three heroes to the attacking army, he decided to retreat.

   Turning his gaze to his side, Superman saw Gorilla Grodd, Black Adam, and Weather Wizard holding their own against the attackers.

  "Grodd, get out of here and hide." He called out to the gorilla, who nodded as he motioned for his villains to retreat.

   Superman and the remaining heroes hurried to Doctor Fate to escape. Fate chanted a spell which opened a portal in the form of an ankh.

  "This is our way out, with haste." He ordered for them to go first, with him entering last. The portal closed once the heroes retreated.

   Gorilla Grodd, Black Adam, and Weather Wizard managed to run a few blocks away from the army.

  "Something's wrong with this picture. What could possibly be going on?" Grodd asked himself, breathing heavily for he was worn out.

Before they could do anything, Grodd and his allies were surrounded by Deadshot and the others to prevent their escape.

  "Ya ain't goin' anywhere, monkey." Captain Boomerang said, spinning a boomerang in his fingers.

   Gorilla Grodd tried finding a way to slip through but found none. "Seems we're going to have to fight them." He snorted, lunging a punch at Black Spider.

   Enchantress blasted Black Adam with a fire sphere, causing him to crash against the ground.

  "Once Shazam's Champion. And now a nothing." She laughed as she reverted him to his powerless form with her powers.

   Adam groaned as he got up to speak the magic words. Enchantress covered his mouth and grinned. "I can't allow that." The sorceress twisted his neck.  

Monocle fired a beam from his eyepiece, blasting Weather Wizard's wand out of his hands. "Oh no. Alright I give up! I surrender." He fell to the floor, placing his hands on his head to surrender.
