Chapter 23: The Rescue of Heroes pt. 2

   Superman coughed, struggling to lift himself from the ground after taking a beating from Superboy. The clone of Superman had managed to take down the group, leaving them all weak and exhausted.

  "I thought you were supposed to be the world's greatest hero, Superman." Superboy taunted as he landed near the Man of Steel. He pressed his foot on Superman's chest to pin him in place. "But it's clear that you don't deserve that title."

   Bizarro tackled Superboy from behind, clobbering him against the ground. "Only Bizarro can play with Superman." The opposite Superman said, smashing a car on top of Superboy.

  "You fucking idiot!" The clone reached for Bizarro's neck, clutching it tight as he threw him into the ground.

   Superboy got on top of Bizarro and began to mercilessly beat him. Hit after hit, Superboy's fist drenched in blood while Bizarro's face deformed with every punch.

  "Little Superman annoy me." Bizarro spewed from his mouth fire at Superboy.

   The clone put up his arms to block the heat breath and frowned. "Enough with you!" Superboy delivered the final punches, beating Bizarro to death.

Superman saw this and angered, sending his clone flying up with an uppercut. The Man of Steel approached Bizarro.

"I did good. I helped Superman." Bizarro grunted, exhaling deeply as he passed. Superman put on a small smile as he looked at his deceased counterpart. "Yes, Bizarro did good."

Giganta caught Superboy in the air and clutched him tightly. "You're nothing but a murderer!" The giantess shouted in his face as she used him to punch the streets.

"Because I exist to create a better world!" He escaped from her grasp, punching her twice in the face and pushed her down.

"No!" Flash ran to his girlfriend's side, who'd shrunken to her normal stature. "Doris, are you okay?" Wally asked while helping her up.

"Look out!" Doris warned Wally but was too late. Superboy punched the Scarlet Speedster in the gut and chest, which sent him hurdling across the street.

Flash impacted against a light post where Superboy lifted him up by his collar. "Not so fast, Flash." The clone taunted, lunging a knee-kick at his stomach.

Superboy elbowed his back, leaving Flash laying on the ground. "Time I end it." As the clone of Superman was to kill Flash, Superman interfered by clutching his fist.

"You're not going to hurt anyone else, Superboy." The Man of Steel said, breaking his clone's fingers.

  "I don't hurt, Superman." The clone grunted, using his other fist to lunge a punch. "I kill."

   Aquaman threw off the rubble that laid on top of him as he regained consciousness. 'That kid can throw a hit.' He thought to himself while getting up.

   The only thing Aquaman could see was all the chaos and havoc the battle had caused the city. Countless Atlantean and Warstrom soldiers laying throughout the streets of New York.

   Already had most of his army retreated, but a few still stayed behind to continue fighting against the Warstrom forces.
