Chapter 2: Darkseid Invades pt. 2

Mad Harriet slashed the Man of Steel's face with her claws. Lashina wrapped her whip around Superman's ankles, pulling him towards her.

"I thought you were stronger, Kryptonian." Lashina mocked, flinging him over again to Mad Harriet. She jumped on his back and scratched his chest.

"Darkseid's will! Darkseid's way!" The Female Fury hissed with a grin plastered on her face.

Superman threw her off him, sending her flying further off with his super breath. As Lashina came running up towards him, the Man of Steel fired his heat vision at the Fury, sending her crashing against a wall.

Batman ducked to avoid being slashed by one of Gilotina's swords. Grabbing the Fury by the wrist, the Dark Knight took her sword and threw it off the ship.

"That was my favorite one, idiot." Gilotina cursed under her breath, pulling Batman to the floor by his cape.

The Female Fury used her other sword to flash the Caped Crusader's right leg. Batman groaned in pain as blood gushed out the wound.

   Batman had taken out his taser, only to have Gilotina kick it out of his hand. "You will have to find a new tactic, human." The Fury taunted, slashing his right arm.

Lex Luthor had been stomped on his chest by Stompa. She grabbed the bald man by his legs, slamming him against the ship's floor.

  "That suit of yours had kept you alive this far, human." Stompa laughed, pressing her foot against his chest to pin him down. "Or else you would've been dead so long ago."

   Wiping the trickle of blood from his mouth, Luthor smirked. "It's got a few perks." Lex placed his hands on her feet, discharging electric shocks.

The Lord of Apokolips stood watching his fiercest warriors take Superman, Batman, and Lex on with ease.

"Granny, what do my Elite's report from the other attacks on this accursed world?" Darkseid asked Goodness as he turned his attention the elderly New Goddess.

"Lord Darkseid, Kanto reported that his attack is going without complications. Glorious Godfrey and Virman Vundabar say that resistance is strong on his but not something they can't handle." Granny Goodness began.

"Mantis and Kalibak however have not reported back. But all is clear that even with the heroes' intervention, our attack will not falter."

The response from Granny Goodness satisfied Darkseid. "Good, then the Earth is as good as mine." He grinned, believing that within hours the world will be his.

The trio regrouped to deal with the Female Furies. "They've gotten stronger than last time. But that doesn't mean we give up." The Man of Steel panted, exhausted from fighting the Furies.

"I say we give up and turn our loyalty to Darkseid." Luthor said, earning glares from both Batman and Superman. "What? I was only kidding."

Superman sighed and turned his gaze to the Furies. "Once we're done with them, we take Darkseid and Granny Goodness."

"Then we'll have to be quick about it if we want to last long enough." Batman added, himself breathing heavily.

Luthor adjusted his suit a little to engage in combat once again. "Then after you ladies."
