Chapter 4: The End of Invasion

  "You have prolonged your death for far too long, Kryptonian filth." Darkseid yelled in Superman's face. He threw him into a truck and then smashed it on top of him.

The Lord of Apokolips flipped the truck off the Man of Steel and glared at him. Superman found a pipe next to him, giving him an idea. "I'm far from done with you, Superman." Darkseid said as he dragged him by the cape to lift him up.

"Neither am I." Superman retorted as he drove the pipe into Darkseid's right eye. "Ahh!" The Lord of Apokolips threw him aside, pulling the metal pipe our from his eye. Dark blood gushed from the wound once removing it completely.

"You'll pay for your insolence, Superman!" Darkseid shouted at the Man of Steel, charging straight at him. He hammer-armed into the streets, followed by an uppercut.

Superman froze Darkseid in a block of ice with his frost breath. He flung the frozen New God into the air, were he thawed out. A scowl look was in Darkseid's face as he glared at the Man of Steel.

"I have had it with you, Superman!" Darkseid blasted the Man of Steel with his Omega Beams, sending him flying as the beams struck. Superman yelled in pain, kneeling down on the ground. Darkseid reached for Superman's neck as he landed on top of him.

Lashina constricted Mister Miracle with her whip, pulling him close. She flip-kicked him in the face, which sent him flying into a vehicle.

She stuck the spiked ball into Scott's knee, forcing him to kneel from the pain. "That's got to hurt, Scotty." Lashina taunted as she ran towards him.

"And this one will hurt even more, Lashina." A golden spear had been launched into the Fury's neck by Big Barda.

"Urgh." Lashina gurgled, falling to the ground with blood flowing out of the neck. It spread throughout the ground around her.

"I believe this is mine." Barda stated as she removed the spear from Lashina's neck and went over to her husband.

Batman had incapacitated Gilotina by spraying knockout gas on her face. He hurried to the couple so they could regroup.

Superman crashed in front of the heroes after being punched by Darkseid. "Are you ready to take down Darkseid once and for all?" He glanced at his companions, who all nodded in response. "Then let's go."

The heroes charged straight at the half-blinded Lord of Apokolips. Darkseid uppercutted Mister Miracle, crashing several feet into a building.

"Scott!" Big Barda screamed in worry for her husband. She turned around and was taken by surprise by Darkseid, who kicked her in the face.

Superman flew straight at Darkseid and began to strike him with numerous punches to the face. "Call off your attack, Darkseid." The Man of Steel ordered, panting in exhaustion from fighting Darkseid. He sent the Lord of Apokolips flying with his heat vision.

Darkseid plummeted into the destroyed streets, silently cursing at the Man of Steel. Superman flew at him and began delivering as many blows he could to the face.

The Dark Knight flung three batarangs at Darkseid, exploding after contacting on his back.

   Having been forced to kneel down, Darkseid began to breath heavily from exhaustion. "I don't take orders from the likes of you, Superman. This invasion continues until everyone on this world is dead." The Lord of Apokolips said in between gasps.
