Chapter 25: Plans and Revelations

Luthor's Island

10:34 a.m.
   Supergirl, Zatanna, and Volcana had been rescued and now joined the heroes and villains. But the death of Batgirl has affected greatly Supergirl, excluding herself from everyone for now.

   Zatanna and Volcana had been sped up to date with all the events and agreed to be part of the battle against Warstrom.

   Supergirl, on the other hand, locked herself in a room prepared for her stay in the meantime, barely coming out.

   At the moment, the heroes and villains had gathered within Luthor's lair to begin discussing important matters.

  "Well, with everyone present and accounted for, this meeting can begin." Superman said, getting everyone's attention.

  "Two weeks have passed since Deathstroke and I rescued Supergirl, Zatanna, and Volcana from Hills' clutches."

  "And in the course we suffered casualties. Aquaman, Booster Gold, Tigress, Bizarro, and Batgirl." The Man of Steel stopped to allow Lex to continue.

   The bald man nodded. "They were casualties of war, of course." His statement earned him a frown from both Superman and Batman.

  "Don't fuss over it, ladies. It happens and we have to deal with it." Lex retorted, powering on his computer to show images of the New York battle.

  "Hills was killed by the cousin of Big Blue here." Luthor informed everyone, which astonished everyone. "He surely could've provided intel on Warstrom."

  "Luthor, don't push your luck." Superman scolded, frowning at the bald man. "No one needed to know."

   Lex Luthor smirked as he didn't give importance to his scolding. "It's the way around, remember this is my home." He eyed the Man of Steel, chuckling after getting the upper hand.

  "But since I need this alliance to work, let's put that aside. It's time for the big revealing."

   The images of the battle changed to those of the younger clone of Superman, Superboy. "That sneaky son of a bitch of Gaines created their own Kryptonian weapon to handle ours."

   Worry and doubt filled the heroes and villains now knowing of Superboy's existence. They all commented to one another their thoughts on the matter.

  "You girls done gossiping, because that's not all of it. They also have their own Supergirl, though this one is dubbed Power Girl." Luthor added.

  "Are you telling us Warstrom have two of the most powerful beings in the universe on their side?" Atomic Skull shouted, frightened by the thought.

   Lex Luthor nodded to confirm. "Yes, that's the situation Atomic Skull."

  "But it's not something to worry about, we should continue on our next move." Superman said so everyone could muster their doubts.

  "Then enlighten me, Big Blue, what's your master plan?" The bald man asked in a mocking tone, wanting to hear out his idea.

   Superman frowned at Luthor as he crossed his arms. "I don't see you doing anything, Lex. Just criticizing everything you can."
