Wonder Woman had reached the mansion and locked herself inside her given room. 'I did it. I finally did it!' The Amazon Princess mentally cheered for herself with relief, laying on the bed to rest.

'But what now? He's not going to return the love I feel for him. His heart has always belonged to Lois and I can't compare to her.' Now dark thoughts came to Diana's mind, fearing the worst after having confessed.

'He'll feel uncomfortable or awkward every time we'll see each other. I don't even know why I risked it.'

Her thoughts were snapped as she heard a light knock at her door. "One sec." At first she hoped to see Superman at the other side but was disappointed to see Hawkgirl.

Not saying she wasn't glad Hawkgirl was there, but the Man of Steel was on her mind.

"Diana, I saw you running her to your room and got worried. Is everything alright?" The Thanagarian asked.

Wonder Woman covered her eyes as she started crying. Shayera caught her in a hug as she wondered why she's crying. "Diana, what's wrong?" Hawkgirl worriedly asked.

Diana didn't answer Shayera and kept crying. "What's bothering you? I want to help Diana." The Thanagarian sat down with the Amazon Princess on the bed.

"I... I told... Clark..." Wonder Woman sobbed as she hugged Hawkgirl tighter to let loose her emotions. "How I... felt..."

Hawkgirl was now in understanding of the situation and sighed. Looking at Wonder Woman in such state bothered her but she was going to help her.

"Listen, this is the first time I've ever seen you cry, Diana. Calm down and tell me what happened." Shayera patiently ran her fingers through Diana's hair as she waited for an answer.

Wiping her tears, Diana gained composure to speak with Shayera. "I couldn't sleep and decided to walk only to find him by the shore."

"I sat down with him to have and talk and that's when he confirmed me that he and Lois ended their relationship. And I confessed to him how I felt." Wonder Woman finished explaining.

"There, there. But it's good you got it out of your chest. And now you might have the window you always wanted." Hawkgirl said, attempting to comfort the Amazon Princess.

Diana started crying again into Shayera's shoulder as she hugged her tightly. "But when I confessed, he was shocked and didn't say anything. And that's how I'm her. Waiting for an inevitable rejection."

Sympathy was what Shayera was feeling for Diana as she kept crying. "There, just let it out. Give things time and we'll see what happens." She advised, stroking Wonder Woman's hair.

Wonder Woman managed to calm herself and looked at Hawkgirl. Her advice seemed to have soothen Diana.

"Thank you Shayera." The Amazon Princess thanked Hawkgirl, who gave a nod to reply. She smiled as she motioned for Diana to lay down. "Any time. But you should rest for to tonight."

"Don't go yet. Wait until I fall asleep." Shayera chose to comply to Diana's request. "I'll stay here if you want."

The Amazon Princess got comfortable in bed as Hawkgirl threw the blanket over her. Laying her head on the pillow, Wonder Woman closed her eyes. Shayera sat waiting for Diana to fall asleep, gently stroking her hair.
