They had gotten up early that morning and prepared there horses for the long ride. The Temple was more in land from the port city. Ezio keep admiring his new gear and couldn't wait to show Mario when he got back. After all there supplies were put on horses they all set off.
"You like your new toys?" Luigi asked riding next to Ezio.
"I love them!" Ezio said looking at them. "This pistol thing will be very handy."
"Remember it can only be used as a last resort. It's too loud and will blow your cover." Luigi told him.
"I know. I had planned to use it only if assassination failed." Ezio said.
"I'll have to get Leonardo to mass produce all of these things for the Assassins." Luigi said.
"I agree."
They rode on for four hours before taking a break. They would arrive at the Temple in another few hours. It was hidden deep behind a waterfall. The Temple rose upwards until it touched the ceiling of the large cave it was in. It was covered in all types of carvings and statues most of witch were in bad shape after years of the element's abuse.
"Are you sure there is an apple here?" Ezio asked.
"If not then I'll just make this temple into a new home for the brotherhood." Luigi said. "That way this trip wasn't for nothing."
"Good idea." Ezio said. "Shale we go look for the apple?"
"You and Leonardo go on ahead while we make camp." Luigi said. "Don't go to far last thing I need is for you to get lost in there."
"Fine, lets go Leonardo." Ezio said to his friend as he walked to the Temple.
They went inside and found nothing but old pieces of paper and broken clay pots. Ezio thought of it as a disappointment but not Leonardo. He was all over studying the wall carvings, the old pots, everything he saw he put in his journal for future generations to enjoy or fall asleep to In class.
"That's odd," Leonardo said as he touched one of the pots.
"What did you find something.?" Ezio asked.
"Not find, but noticed." Leonardo said. "How old is this Temple?"
"Over three thousand years old, why?" Ezio asked.
"These pots should be in worse shape, but it looks more like they have been here for over a few hundred years not Thousands." Leonardo told Ezio.
"So there fakes?" Ezio asked.
"No I've seen pots like these in other temples in India only older, but these ones look just like them only younger. Say do you know how long ago the first apple was found?"
"Yeah," Ezio said. "The great assassin mentor Altair found one during the crusades."
Leonardo started looking through his huge bag he had brought with them. It was filled with books and tools. He pulled out an old book filled with old yellow pages.
"When me and Luigi first came here in search for the temple the Templars had attacked an old Indian man." Leonardo began. "They wanted this book because it held the entries of the man's great, great grandfather who found a secret deep inside the temple, but told no one."
"So you both fought off the Templars and he gave you the book, right?"
"Right." Leonardo said flipping through the pages. "In it his great, great, grandfather says he had explored this place for years and found nothing not even bits of paper then one day he came to find it full of untouched pottery and farther down a door made of stone but it was harder then steel."
