Maya POV
"You have to get out of your room and see the sunshine Riles!" I nearly dragged her down to Topangas. Maybe they can give her a dose of advice because I'm out of hallmark cards to hand her.
"Maya," She turned to face me in the doorway, " If there is anything I don't want it's to be in here." She started at me firmly standing in her pjs with her arms crossed.
I looked around the cafe and immediately came across some blonde locks wearing a shirt full of biceps.
My heart did that thing and I looked back at Riley.
"Well Riley, it is your moms place. And he has balls coming her in the first place," Riley never liked me cussing but I was fired up, "But you shouldn't have to leave just because he wants to hang out in your moms cafe. Ugh I can't believe him!" I was slowly but surely filling with rage. And Riley could tell.
"Maya, it's okay. I just want to go back to my house and finish the movie. Just don't get angry and please don't go-" Riley stopped as she realized I was already storming towards where Lucas was sitting with Farkle and Zay.
"Hello Huckleberry" I said in a cold tone despite the grim smile on my face.
"Well, Lucas. It's Maya! Aren't you happy to see her. She looks great today right Lucas." Zay butted in.
"Short Stack! To what do I owe the pleasure." He was genuinely mannered and it annoyed the hell out of me and made the butterflies bust out of their cocoons.
I kept my cool as I had tried the last three years around Lucas. "Oh no, this isn't a good visit. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU-" This time Riley interrupted me. She walked in front of me and Lucas avoiding his eyes. His really sparkly green eyes that wrinkle around the corners when he smiles. I found myself outside and I realized I had just spaced out again thinking about him.
"Mayaaaaaa" Riley snapped her fingers out in front of me, "Anyone home?"
"Yeah," I sighed and smiled at her. "Right here."
"So, my mom texted and asked pizza or Chinese for dinner."
I gave her a forced smile, "Whatever you would like Riley."
"Pizza it is then!"
