Chapter 12: Dates and Auras

Kat's POV:

We finish eating in silence, but it's a good silence, a happy one. I know that I have to find out where the suppliers are, not to mention where I am, but I can't seem to worry about it too much. I take a deep breath before turning towards Michael. I am shocked again at just how beautiful and perfect looking he is.......Luna what did I do to deserve this beautiful creature?? Who cares, let's just be happy she gave him to us.

All I can do is agree with her at this point. I begin to trace the curve of his face and his lips with my eyes when he suddenly turns his head towards me and smiles, locking eyes with me. He looks slightly amused, and I can't help but start to blush again. How does he do that to me so easily??

"What?"

"Nothing, I just had a question to ask you."

He chuckles a little bit at my speedy answer and I feel my blush growing deeper under his gaze as I look down at the floor. I'm still not sure my heart can take this. It can, just trust me and Luna. Fine.

"Well you can ask it unless you're afraid haha."

I blush deeper before looking back up and meeting his eyes, not having realized that he moved closer to me. Good Luna, how much redder can my face get I wonder.

"I....um......I wanted to know where I was. You know in relation to Rochester."

"Oh, we're about an hour west of Rochester, literally in the middle of nowhere haha. There is a smaller town about 20 minutes from here but that's it. Why do you ask? Are you that ready to leave now?"

I can see his face fall a little as he asks me this. NO, we aren't! Shh! Crescent you know that's not why I asked him. Now be quiet and let me think please.

"No, I'm not quite ready to leave. But I do have a few things that I need to do that may require me going back to Rochester today. Is there a bus system or a taxi that might give me a ride?"

"There isn't a bus system, and a taxi would charge a fortune just to get you into Zebulon let alone Rochester. But if you really need to go there today, I can give you a ride. If you want."

"Yes, I'd.......I'd like that very much. Want to leave around 3? I have a few calls to make before then, is there a phone I could borrow?"

"3 sounds great! Sure you can borrow mine, here it is. Um...also would you like to....well would you like to have dinner with me tonight? And then maybe a movie afterwards?"

Now I see him blush as he looks sheepishly away from my eyes. He really is too perfect for me, I don't understand how I got him. I take the phone from his hand, realizing that I will have to have him drop me off somewhere other than whatever warehouse I go to for supplies, but right now I don't care. I'm just happy that he wants to be with me. Of course he does, because he is ours!

"Yes, I would love that. Thank you Michael. I'm going to go outside to make the calls. I'll meet you at the front of the house at 3."

I stand up and head to the door with the stupid crutches but before I can reach for the handle he opens it for me. I turn to say thanks and I realize that he is beaming at me. I blush again but before I can walk out the door he leans in and kisses me on the lips again. This kiss is longer and may have turned into something more if I hadn't of broken it and run out of the door as quickly as I could.

Making my way to the far corner of the yard, towards a stone bench, I curse the crutches and also shake my head at my own actions. Not to mention Crescents' behavior right now. All she can do is yap and howl with happiness. I guess it could be worse, she could be yelling at me if I said no haha.
