Michaels' POV:
Ok, Pete and Alec are finishing setting up the roof with a few last minute details. We cleared all the snow away about an hour ago, and dried the whole roof. The table, flowers, and music are all good to go. The food gets here in about 20 minutes, and I told Kat to meet me up there at 8. It's 7:25 right now so I have about 15 minutes to finish getting myself ready and calmed down. Ok. Whew.....I can do this.
I choose a green button down shirt, one that would match her eyes if she's in a good mood tonight. I hope she's in a better mood. I had no idea that she truly hated malls as much as that. I'm happy I was able to pass off my worry with laughing earlier today. I'd hate for her to be worried about my worry.
But when I felt the echo of what I guess was her headache I just panicked for a minute. It felt like she had been hit on the head and for me to be able to feel it without her having a mark it must have been strong. My only thought was that I was about to lose her to the people looking for her. Thank God it was only a headache, even though it must have been a bad one.
I grab an overcoat and a pair of gloves on the way out the door, just in case the heaters aren't enough up there. I grab the small package with her gift in it. I hope she likes it. I already have a quilt up there in case she gets cold. I think I have everything. Whew....well I guess I better go ahead and get up there and make sure the boys clear out before she gets there. I hope she likes it. I also hope she doesn't freak out.
Kats' POV:
Ok, I have five minutes until I'm supposed to meet Michael on the roof. Ok, remain calm. I smooth my sweater for what seems like the hundredth time today and am actually thankful that Storm loaned it to me. It's an alright color, a steely grey looking V-neck cut. It show some cleavage but not enough be called a slut. I even managed to find some dark jeans and boots to match from Storm's closet.
We look sexy, link will like. Haha yeah I guess we do clean up pretty good and I sure hope so. He will, how could he not. He loves us. You are super calm about tonight I can see......that's annoying. Hmmpphh.
Ok, well I guess there's no more stalling. We better head to the elevator to get to the roof. At least that will give us a few more minutes to freak out before it's time to go. I hope he doesn't freak out tonight. I grab the knife box and put it in my back pocket before grabbing the pea-coat that Michael got me at the mall today. Apparently only a small gift compared to whatever else he got me tonight. Though I doubt that we'll be very cold, I can wear it to make him happy I guess. Plus it's black so it kind of goes with my outfit and it was really sweet of him to be worried about me getting cold.
I get into the elevator and press the R button, holding my breath for a moment as the doors close. Well, unless we punch through the elevator this is it Crescent. The point of no return. You make it sound like a horror movie. He is our link. He will love us no matter what. Oh how I hope you're right cause now we're here.
I walk out into a narrow hallway, past the stairwell, towards the small door leading onto the roof. I hear soft jazz playing and I hear him breathing nervously. I tap into the bond I have with him for a moment. Boy he is nervous, almost as nervous as me haha. I smell food, candles, flowers and the strongest scent, him. Our link, our love, Michael. I take a deep breath before opening the door and having my breath taken away by the beauty of the scene around me.
Michael is looking as handsome as ever in a spring green shirt standing in front of a small metal table with food and candles, surrounded by a few heaters, and dozens of flowers. I look all around the roof and there are lights and hanging lanterns everywhere. I smile a little knowing that he would have had to make some of the students help him pull this off.
