Kat's POV:

I feel the cold air on my face and pain, so much pain. Not as bad as before, but still not good. I hear wings, I feel the warmth of a coat thicker than my old one. Crescent....you there? Yeah.....it hurts like hell though, going back to sleep now. I whisper goodnight as she passes back into darkness, still there just unconscious. The noise of wings is still in my ears and the breeze on my face is cold.

I dare to open my eyes knowing that nothing could be worse than what I was seeing in the eyes of Jay and Tido in the ally. It can easily be more surprising though because the angel of death of death is carrying me. With sharp facial features, a strong chin, golden-brown hair, and an amazingly sculpted body, he could be nothing other than an angel. His blue eyes are flashing with anger. Is he angry that he had to be the one to fly us wherever we're going?

Wait.......flies?!?......I can't help but gasp slightly, both from the pain that is getting worse yet again and from the fact that the angel has two large beautiful white wings. I watch as he looks down at me and the anger in his eyes disappears immediately and is replaced by something else. Something I can't seem to name, though it seems so familiar.

"It's alright, I have you now. I am taking you someplace safe, don't worry."

I open my mouth and try to respond but can't. Huh, maybe we did get into heaven after all. Wouldn't the pack be surprised, hell I'm surprised. I just have to touch the wings, just once to see if this is real. I reach out my hand and gently stroke one of the wings. I feel almost a current run through my hand, but I ignore it as I stare at the wings.

"beautiful...."

I look back at my angel's face again, full of that unnamed emotion, before I feel my eyes grow heavy and I'm being surrounded by darkness again.

Angel's (Michael's) POV:

I can't believe that those assholes did this to her. If John hadn't made me leave I would have killed them. Why would they have attacked her?!? She is beautiful and so.... so....so...I can't even describe her in way that would do her justice. Errgggghhh. I hope John beats them within an inch of their miserable lives for doing this to her.

She is so bloodied and beaten, I don't even know how she is still alive. There are bruises lining her arms and her stomach. I know there are a few broken bones, including her leg, and her face is black and blue all over, with small cuts scattered all over her body.

But she's still beautiful.....wavy brown hair and tan skin. She is so beautiful. Her face and her lips are the most beautiful I have ever seen, even with the bruises. I would love to be able to  hold her forever and kiss her.........

Whoa, stop it Michael. Get ahold of yourself. I need to focus on getting her home to the professor and Sarah as fast as possible. I feel my blood start to boil with anger as I think about those animals that did this, to my angel. How dare they?!

I don't know how this night has come to this moment. This night started like any other Saturday night. John and I just wanted to hang out and have some fun. John of course started to flirt with some girls at one of the clubs. I wasn't really interested in going to the clubs, you don't really meet people at a club and start an actual relationship, but John was bored and didn't want to go alone. For once, I'm glad I did go tonight. If I hadn't of gone and pulled John out of the club to go home when I did, there's no telling what would have happened to her.

The sound of her scream is still ringing in my ears, it was the worst sound I've ever heard. We were headed to the car when we heard it. We both started toward the sound as soon as we could. John got to her first, then I did.

Those bastards.......she wasn't even conscious enough to fight back anymore and they were still beating her. I wish I could have stayed and killed them for what they did. I continue thinking about what they were doing, getting madder by the minute.

Then I hear one of the most beautiful and saddest noises in the world. I hear her gasp. The sound is full of surprise but also pain. Hell, I would be surprised if it wasn't full of pain, as badly as she was beaten.

I look down at her in my arms to make sure she is okay, and I see that she is awake. Her beautiful green eyes stare back at me, my anger quickly melts and I can feel nothing but.....I'm not sure what the emotion is. All I know is that I care about her, and I must save her right now.

"It's alright, I have you now. I am taking you someplace safe, don't worry."

I say all I can to try and keep her calm, not knowing how much of this she will actually remember. All I can think is how beautiful she is, despite the bruises and the blood covering her face. I can see her face twist in pain and she flinches closer into my chest. I start to fly faster than I ever have before. I have to get her home, she is in pain.

I see her reach her hand out towards my wing. She won't mess me up if she touches it so I let her. She strokes my wing so gently, it almost feels as it she isn't touching it at all, and then I feel the current flow through my wing from her hand. It's almost like electricity flowing from her hand through my wing.

I stare at the angel in my arms as she whispers one word, beautiful, and passes out again. She thinks my wings are beautiful, but they are dull and ugly in comparison to her. I push myself to fly faster, I have to save my angel.
