Chapter 40: Crescent Loves Link

Kat's POV:

I thought they were going to tell me that someone had already challenged me for my position, and I guess they might still tell me that, but if they are why do they look so damn happy about it? Hell even Cain looks slightly pleased and he usually only looks happy when he is all over Hannah, though who wouldn't be able to say that about being with their link I guess.

"Ok......so what's the plan? Cause if someone has challenged me you are all way too damn happy about it."

"No child, no one has challenged you yet. The Council has decided to allow you time to formally announce your title before the Tribe before you may be challenged for it so you have time yet. However, we have an idea and I.....well we all hope that you will accept it."

"So, just tell me."

"My child I am-"

Just as Jeremiah begins to tell me what his big idea or plan is the doc comes bursting through the door panting as if she just ran up the stairs. Which I guess she might have if she came from Michael's side. I rush to her as she starts speaking in a panting voice. Please let him be all right.

"Kat! Michael woke up and is asking for you, more like demanding to see you right now! He shouldn't get out of bed yet but he won't listen to me. Please will you go down to him now?!?"

The fact that he is alive and asking for me gives me the biggest sense of relief I have felt all day. I turn to run out of the room and run straight to my link, before I remember that I'm leaving the others alone. Damn......some Alpha I'm turning out to be I guess, I've already forgotten about visiting friends.

"Sarah, could you show them all to a room or two please if we have any? If not take them to Michael's room to wait for me. I'm sorry Jeremiah I have to see him."

I see him nod as Jenny smiles at me and even winks. As if any of that will be going on downstairs, he just woke up after I practically drained him yesterday. I nod back before sprinting back out the door and down the stairs to the hospital room. I run in the room, back towards the celled room and I see Michael lying on the bed. His eyes are closed as if he is asleep. I listen to his heartbeat and it's stronger and steady, just as his breathing is right now. I sigh knowing that for now he's resting. I walk towards him and gently sit down on the bed next to him.

We need to accept him as link again. Take back our rejection. Oh crap....good catch Crescent I almost forgot all about that. I take his hand in mine as I stare at his beautiful face, wishing he was awake so I could see his eyes.

"I Katherine Crescent Helsing, Alpha of Crescent Moon Pack of the Celestial Tribe, accept Michael Thomas Roberts as my link, my mate, my love, and my moon for as long as we should live in this world and in the next."

I feel the bond restore itself completely again and I see his lips twitch a little as I finish before I see his eyes open. He smiles at me and gently squeezes my hand and I know we both feel the current running beneath our hands as the bond is fully restored. I have to keep myself from jumping on him and hugging him as tight as I can as I stare at him with a smile on my lips.

I watch as he moves over some on the bed, I'm guessing so I could lay down with him, but I don't want to hurt him on accident. I really could if I hugged as tight as I wanted to right now. I can't help but sigh some as I look into his eyes. Thank you Luna for helping him and keeping him safe.

"Went all out on the acceptance, huh love?"

"But I thought you were asleep?"

"No, I just wanted to make sure you weren't coming in here to yell at me for not listening to you or worse, coming in here to apologize."
