Chapter 18: My Demon

Kat's POV:

We both step off the elevator into a well-lit hallway with several doors on either side. I follow next to the Professor as we go down the hallway. I'm surprised he hasn't asked any questions yet. Don't hold our breath on that one yet.

"I trust you had a pleasant evening with Michael tonight?"

Damn....here I was thinking we could just be silent together. Told you so. Must you always say that? Yup. I sigh internally at my wolf, how I can love her so much and have her annoy me just as much I'll never know.

"Don't tell me you've already had a mind reading session with Michael."

"Haha no not quite, while I was delivering your message about the movie his mind was practically screaming for you. You have quite entranced him I dare say, this link business works quickly. However, did you have enough time alone to get what you need?"

We would already be marked if he had a wolf. I hear Crescent whine with sadness and I know that she is right. Even if we marked him now it wouldn't be the same, not really. He would have to go through the linking ceremony, the painful one, to get a wolf.

"His mind was screaming for me? Well I have to say that is certainly how I feel, except with added bloodlust screaming for him as well. Yes, I was able to buy blood while he was gone."

I see him nod but that's it. I was trying to remind him of how dangerous I could be for Michael, but he seems unphased. I'm basically begging him to stop me before anyone gets hurt and here he is believing that I'm harmless and good. Where were these people back in the 80s and the 90s when we needed them for moon's sake. Probably getting high, protesting something, finishing school still, or  even still in diapers. Haha, that's why I love you Crescent always ready to try to lighten the mood. We finally stop next to two double doors and pushes one them open for me. I walk in and see what looks like a hospital room or rooms and who else but the Doctor.

"Kat, no doubt you remember Dr. Sarah Reid."

"Yesss.......I remember but I thought you had something to show me concerning this weekend, specifically Saturday."

"Yes, well we had a slight problem. I had to tell Sarah a little bit about you in order for us to come up with a safe solution for everyone. I know I promised not to, but she can be trusted and I think you will like the idea once you see it. So, if you could please refrain from yelling for the time being you may that her knowing is a good thing."

After everything else today, this is close to my breaking point and apparently Crescents' as well. He lied to us! Filthy mutant! Crescent calm down! We just need to see there idea so we can get back to Michael. I manage to calm her and myself down before looking back up at the Professor and doctor.

"Ok fine. So Doc, he told you everything you needed to know I assume. Including my bloodlust and past murders and such, or did he keep it short and sweet?"

"No, he told me everything that I needed to know, and I agree with him about you not being evil. I also think that Michael should be told sooner rather than later because he will agree with us."

"Well....y'all keep thinking that as long as y'all want to. But for now, just show me whatever the plan is."

They both nod and I follow them down a partial hallway in the room with three open rooms along it. Each room has a small bed but no door, just three walls and an opening where the fourth wall should be. This is it? They're kidding right? Who knows at this point.

"We thought that you could use this room Saturday and any other day you need it. This entire basement is sound proof and the hospital doors have locks with codes that only I and the Professor will know."
