Michaels' POV:

I start running towards the woods, but I can't help but glance back at Kat. She won't look at me, she just keeps drinking whatever Jeremiah had given her. She hasn't looked at me since this all began. She must hate me. I would hate me, as much pain as she's in right now. I keep running through the woods, when I hear a second horn going off in the distance behind me. Guess that means that my five minutes is up.

I start to run through a thicket of bushes and briars, before I hear howling. What?! Lou garous are wolves? I guess I'm going to find out for certain in a second because there is something running after me. I jump down into a ditch and land in a small creek. The creek!

Ok, Katherine said to put mud on the cut.......check. Now all I have to do is follow the creek to the river. So.......if the water is flowing to the right I go right. The creek looks like it widens out a few feet down from where I am, so the river must be close by.

I start to run along the creek until I feel something biting into my leg. I yell out as I fall down in the creek bed only to look up and have a snarling grey wolf in my face. I'm guessing it was also the thing biting my leg. I feel the knife that Kat gave me in my pocket I pull it out and dodge the wolf just at it jumps at me.

I flip the knife open and jab it into the wolf's hind leg. I expected it to keep coming at me, but instead it lies on the ground and whimpers and howls. I take off running and limping back down the creek bed, hoping to make it to the river. I look back and see another wolf by the one that I stabbed, comforting it? Lou garous are wolves, but how?

I can't believe it, that means that this was Kat's secret. I lose track of what I'm doing for a few seconds just trying to wrap my head around all of this that is until I run into a few feet of water up to my knees. The river.......thank God. I start to wade across it. It isn't very wide across, only 7 or 8 feet tops. I hear howling behind me, but now I'm safe. I made it across the river.

I crawl up on the other side of the riverbed and turn around just in time to see two large black wolves jump across and land a few feet from me. Both of them snarling and showing their teeth, one with yellow eyes and the other with red eyes glowing in the dark. Oh shit.

"But I made it across the river."

The wolves just snarl at me and start to circle to me. I open the knife again and try to judge which will attack first. Then I see a third wolf, grey or maybe silver in color with a dark streak along it's back, even bigger than these two, jump across as well. Three against one, I'm royally screwed.

Kats' POV:

I had started running in the direction of the howling before I decided to simply track Michael. I see him reach the creek and then I watch as he starts to fight Emma meaning that Philip is headed his way. I watch as he stabs Emma in the leg, proud that he can take care of himself and even more proud that he's smart enough to run away. I expect Philip to continue the attack, but instead watch as he stays with Emma.

He may be the beta for the jackass Raul, but at least he is a good link. I watch as Michael keeps running down the creek bed, meaning he'll be at the river soon. I sprint off towards the river. Then I hear it. I hear Raul and Vicki's howls, meaning they've called dibs. Over our dead body!

I run as fast as I can to him. I run through the pain and I reach the river and spot them circling Michael. He looks as if he is going to try to take them both on, but not before I do. If they touch him, we will kill them!

I take a running jump and easily clear the river. I grab Vicki's tail just as she lunges for Michael. She turns and snaps at me, with Raul soon joining her. He lunges for my side and I dodge, while lunging for and grabbing directly onto Vicki's bad leg. I bite down as hard as I can and I taste her blood in my mouth and then I hear the crunch of her bone.
