Chapter 25: Love is an Open Door, Until it Slams Shut

Kat's POV:

I guess I've forgotten about time in here because I hear knocking on the outside of the bedroom door, then on the bathroom door.

"Kat......are you coming out anytime today?"

"Yes, just a few more minutes and I'll head over now get out haha."

"Ok ok, but hurry haha."

I hear the bedroom door shut as I turn off the water. I can't help but smile at the thought that he can't stand to be apart from me for any amount of time.  I brush my teeth for the fourth time before combing through my hair and quickly blow drying it.

Crescent, are you ok? You've been unusually quiet lately. Yeah......it's just this whole silver thing has taken a lot out of me. I really wanna go running, but I don't think I would make it very far yet. If you want we can shift in here for a few minutes. Ok, thanks.

I put down the hair brush and shift. It's a little harder to do today, but still only takes a few seconds. We stretch our legs our on the floor and shake our fur a little. Better? A little, thanks. Crescent, you know I would do anything to make us both happy right? Yes, I know. Sorry for being so stubborn all the time. I am tired though, can we go to Michael now? I need him. Yes, we can you should know that I want to be with him as much as you do and I need him now too. After we shift back and put some clothes on then we will go straight to him.

I shift back and through on some  fresh clothes before opening the bedroom door. Something made Michael agitated. We need to hurry and go to him. I'm hurrying, shesh. Though I was wondering why I was feeling agitated all of a sudden.

I decide to use my tracking ability to see where he is right now. I turn it on and pick up his scent, smells like a bird. I guess you can't have good smelling blood and a good smelling tracking sense. Oh well. He's in his room, on the phone. He's pacing and he does seem really agitated. I wonder if I play a little joke on him if it will help any, hmmmm.

I walk out into the hallway and up to his room before listening at the door. I open it as quietly as I can and walk in. He is still on the phone, so I sneak up behind him. He hangs up the phone just as I get right behind him. He turns around suddenly and I fake faint on the floor, making sure I land where I won't hurt anything.

"Oh my God, Katherine!"

I pull him down to ground as he bends over me and successfully pin him to the floor laughing before I kiss him on the cheek.

"Already got me falling for you huh? Haha"

He looks confused at first but then I see his face and I feel the anger coming off of him. I stop laughing and get off of him, offering my hand to help him up but he doesn't take it. The look of anger on his face doesn't go away. Uh-oh, I think I screwed up this time.

"I'm sorry, it was only a joke. I thought it might help lighten your mood, you seemed upset."

"Yeah well after three nights of you passing out or waking up screaming excuse me if you fake fainting on the floor didn't help lighten my mood."

I don't know what else to say, so I don't say anything. I've never seen him this angry before. Hell, I've never really seen him angry at all unless we were talking about the guys that beat me up. This is exactly how it will be when he finds out the truth about us. No it won't, just comfort him. You scared him that's all. He's hurting we both feel it. I ignore her advice and instead drop my gaze from his to the floor before walking over the futon coach and sitting down on the far side.

He presses play on the dvd player and sits on the opposite side of the futon. We are both very stiff as the movie begins, saying nothing to one another. First ten minutes in the movie and the parents are both dead, shocker. Enough parents die in real life, at least let the cartoons have they parents. I mean just damn Disney.
