Kat's POV:

He's still worried and his mark is hurting him......please can't we go back to him??  No! Crescent, you know better than I do how much we need these herbs. He will be fine, ok. Jenny is only a few minutes late. Calm down. We don't even know for sure if we're getting the herbs, but we know for sure our link is freaking out!  Please, just shut up and give us a few more minutes to see if Jenny gets here.

I know Crescent is annoyed at me, and I can't help but want to agree with her on leaving, but we really need those herbs and I really want to see Jenny again. I know the herbs aren't a guarantee but seeing her is and that is worth waiting a few more minutes. She's practically been a sister to me all these years, not to mention the fact that I still owe her for getting her and Johnny into trouble and Johnny punished after saving little Alice.

I hear a what sounds like a leaves crunching in the distance, but too many of them to just be a squirrel.  Crescent did you hear that? Please, like you would of heard it without me, of course I did.....do you smell that? That's not Sasha. Pack member, traveling wolf, or rogue? I don't know, we don't know many travelers or other rogues and  I don't recognize the scent. Be ready to run. I'd rather fight, but if running means we go home to Michael sooner, I'll run.

We face the forest where the noise and the smell is coming from. I hear two sets of paws, one small maybe a pup or a smaller female wolf, and a larger pair. We crouch down ready to run away as fast our legs will carry us. Then I hear yapping, happy.....not threatening. All of a sudden I see the source of most of the noise, a small brown and black wolf pup with a large white wolf right behind him. I recognize the white wolf's scent as Jenny.

Thank the moon, it's Sasha. Meaning that that is little Champion. Our godson is adorable isn't he? He looks like Warrior, I bet his name suits him just like his dad. Haha, I bet it does. Johnny always was and is one of the best pack fighters. I wouldn't be surprised if Leo took his place one day.

I yelp hello to both Jenny and little Leo, laughing to myself as I wonder if my wolf is the only wolf that refuses to refer to lou garous by their human names, calling them by their wolf names only. I shift back as they reach the stump, just in time to catch Leo as he jumps into my arms laughing.

"Auntie Kat!! We've missed you!"

"Aww I've missed you too my little Leo. I'm sorry I wasn't there to watch you shift for your birthday last year. But my look how big you've gotten! You're quite the little man aren't you?"

"I sure am! I'm mommy's little man! It's ok that you didn't get to watch me shift. Can you come to Alice's birthday and celebrate with us though? Please?"

"Maybe, I will try. If nothing else I will be sure to call both you and Alice. Deal?"

"Ok. Then you can help Alice and me build our tree house! She says that you have the same power she does! She made the tree grow bigger and the branches grow into a house for us to play in! But with you, we could make it even bigger and stronger! To protect us from enemies."

I can't help but laugh at the serious looking face he has made. His personality was matching with Jenny's perfectly, being all happy and bubbly. Until he started talking about protecting us from enemies, he reminds me so much of Johnny right now it isn't even funny.

"Ok little Leo, we'll see. Why don't you run and play for a while in the clearing while your mom and I talk ok?"

"Ok."

"Stay in the clearing Leo! I mean it!"

"Yes mommy!"

He jumps out of my arms and starts to run after a butterfly before shifting. Jenny and I laugh at him before embracing one another in a hug. Luna how I've missed this girl. We sit down in the grass and lean against the tree so we can both watch Leo and make sure he doesn't wander off.
