Dumbledore

Nico's POV
The next morning, Percy dragged us out of bed really early.

"She's suspicious." Percy said. He was telling us about his detention, and how he accidentally started writing in Greek.

"We could use the Mist." Thalia suggested.

"Clear sighted." I said. She saw me practicing last period yesterday.

"Umm..." Annabeth was thinking. "Maybe we should just tell her? She'll probably understand."

"Doesn't Dumbledore know?" Percy asked.

"He's a legacy, I think." I said.

"Of who?" Asked Thalia.

"Hecate." I said. The demigods kept talking until we settled on talking to Dumbledore about it.

"Better go before breakfast." Thalia said. We ran out of the common room and through the halls.

"Um...does anyone know where we're going?" Percy asked.

"Chiron gave me a map." Annabeth said.

"And if all else fails, I have shadow travel." I said. We kept running and running until we got to where Dumbledore's office should have been. Instead on a door there was a stone gargoyle.

"Password?" It asked. Annabeth looked at her paper and replied,

"Chocolate frogs." The gargoyle leaped aside and we walked past it, up a spiral staircase, and to an oak door with a brass knocked and handle. Dumbledore's office was very large and circular. There were brass instruments lining the walls and a big storage closet. There were 2 sets of stairs that lead to a balcony that had a door to another room, and in between the sets of stairs sat the old man himself at a big mahogany desk.

"Good morning Mr. Jackson, Ms. Chase, Mr. Di Angelo, and Thalia." Dumbledore greeted us. "What do you need?"
Annabeth stepped forward.

"We would like some advice." She said. Dumbledore gestured his hand to say go on. "We are worried that Professor  McGonagall is suspicious about us being, well, different."

Dumbledore thought for a moment. "I believe that Minerva McGonagall is a mortal that can see through the Mist, but she must not no, so she is not attacked my monsters with no way to defend herself."

"Thank you for letting us know sir." Annabeth said. "If there is anything we can do to protect Hogwarts, we could help."

"Well, you could come and take special lessons from me after school on Thursdays, and then we can fight monsters." Dumbledore said. Annabeth glanced at us.

"I think it's a good idea." Thalia whispered. Percy nodded and I gave the thumbs up to Annabeth. She turned around.

"We have a deal." She said. "Just try not to make it too big."

"Great." Dumbledore said. "Meet me in my office at 8:00 tonight. Now run along to breakfast."
