Annabeth's POV

I took my pine tree from Professor Sprout and set it on the table

"First you need to make the tree grow with magic." Professor Sprout said, demonstrating by waving her wand and the tree grower taller. I looked at my Herbology book and found the spell for growing things. I waved my wand and pointed it at the tree.

"Granith Planti." I whispered. The small tree grew twice its size and expanded. I smiled and glanced over at the other demigods. Percy seemed to have drowned his tree, Nico killed it, but Thalia had succeeded with making it grow and was now making it bend over by homemade wind. We kept doing things with the tree for the rest of class, and I nailed all of it. The bell rang at the end of the period and I joined the wizards in walking to Potions.

"This class is in the dungeon." Hermione told me, turning to a downwards stairwell. "Professor Slughorn likes smart students, so I bet he will favor you."
We walked into the dungeon classroom and sat at the front of the class. The steam was rising from 4 cauldrons up front, and a potbellied man sat at the desk. The bell rang, signaling the start of class and the man stood up.

"Hello students! Welcome back! Or welcome if you are one of the exchange students! I am Professor Slughorn, your advanced Potions teacher." He said. He walked over to the cauldrons and gestured to them. "Today you will make one of these potions. Choose one, and if you perfect it, you will get a prize."

I chose the second cauldron which contained a golden substance.

"Felix Flexis." Slughorn said. "Ambitious choice." I smiled at him and walked back to my desk. I took out my potions book and opened to Felix Flexis. A complicated substance. I feel a challenge...

Hello people!!!!! I will try to update again this week because I'm on break, but my parents might keep me busy. I finally have my whole entire Halloween costume assembled!(I'm being Katniss from the Hunger Games)
