Moonlight Kiss

Chapter 4

I looked around me; the faint smell of pure blood was surrounding me. I hated this side of me, the thirst for blood…

This wasn’t the life that I wanted to have, I don’t want to be a vampire princess or fight just because of a prophecy.

I mean, who believes in them anyway?

I tried my hardest to control my thirst, for a moment I thought I was going to die of starvation.

Then it hit me, the sweet smell of blood immediately clicked in my brain and it wasn’t just any kind of blood, it was human blood.

Someone was out in the forest…

I immediately felt the monster in me take over and look for its pray. I looked around the forest, all I could see were trees, I focused on every single thing in the forest and finally I saw him.

A tall, dark skin man pacing back and forth holding an arrow, he must be a hunter. I tried to focus on his face, see what he looks like; he stopped and looked around him. Maybe he sensed that someone was watching him, I could see his face now, his hazel eyes captured me, he looked young, maybe around twenty, and he had dark brown hair, just like Robert’s.

I frowned. This was not happening; I can’t think on Robert, it was mad. I can’t fall for him or we are going to get hurt.

I took steady steps toward the guy making sure he wasn’t aware of me, I launched at him with force.

I knocked him out in a matter of seconds. The bit of sun that was out was killing me.

I stood up and turned the guy on his back so that I could get to see his face. He looked young, around my age, and he also looked tired.

Then I turned my attention to the hollow of his neck, I could almost here his blood flowing through his body, the intensity of how I was feeling at that moment caught me off guard.

I nervously reach out and touched his neck with my fingertips. The blood seemed inviting, calling for me…

I felt myself leaning forward and without any more doubts, I bite his neck hard enough for his blood to start coming out, it trickled down his neck.

A tear escaped my eye as I bit harder; the feeling of his fresh blood flowing down my throat was captivating.

The hunger was quickly satisfied by his blood. I felt a not on my stomach all of the sudden.

I suddenly felt nauseous, but I kept sucking his blood, I just couldn’t stop and at the same time I was feeling scared.

I pulled away and I gasped as soon as I saw his face, it looked so pale…death pale.

I gulped. He can’t be death; I didn’t mean to take that much blood. Then I heard the voice that I wasn’t supposed to hear now.

Robert

“Jane…come on, are you there?!”

I froze. What am I suppose to do with the body?

Shakily I lifted him over my shoulder and trow his body onto the bushes as fast as I could.
