Moonlight Kiss

Chapter 8

Darkness felt upon me as soon as I fainted. There was no noise around me, I felt myself being pull into another world.

I looked around me and saw trees forming a circle around me. They were high enough to stop any light coming into the circle.

And there was silence; there was nothing else but the trees. I walked towards the trees, but stopped me from going any further. There branches extended in front of me making it impossible for me to walk pass them.

I looked back and there in front of me was a woman. Her long white hair was glowing in the night.

Wind swirled around her making her white long dress flow. She was beautiful yet very pale; her big blue eyes brightened sparkling in the night.

She ran her delicate finger through her hair making it glow while she smiled.

“My dear Jane…I have waited for you for so long” her voice sounded musical. It was surreal.

She signals for me to come closer and I did. It was as if my feet were moving without me moving them.

As I got closer to her, I started smelling a rose’s scent. It was sweet, like vanilla.

“How do you know my name?” I asked a little shaky.

She gave me a warm smile while touching her hair.

“You are wearing my ring dear; it’s only reasonable for me to know your name”

I held my hand up and stare at the ring, its purple rock started glowing. A purple glow surrounded me and soon it stopped.

“Why am I here?”

She sighed and walked towards me. “I’m here to help you”

“How?”

“I have long lived in the dark, away from my world. I have been waiting for you for over a millennium now. A baby girl will stop the war once and for all, just like the mother stopped the first. The war will end and soon restored peace and balance between good and evil” she recited.

I remember those words perfectly; they were part of the prophecy…part of what I needed to do.

Just like my mother I was going to stop the biggest war in history and save my kingdom from evil.

“I…I don’t want to do this” I mumbled. She touched my shoulder gently giving me an understanding look.

As I looked at her closer, her face changed. From a distance she looked older and now she looked younger.

“I felt the same thing when I was your age. A part of me didn’t want to become a witch or help save part of this world. But I knew that I had a responsibility to my people. The closer I got to my own death; I realized that sometime you need to fight in order to find what you are and where you belong. Don’t be afraid Jane, life might be hard at first but then when you find something worth fighting for, you just have to fight and live”
