Previously on Moonlight Kiss {Chapter 24}

For as long as I’m alive, I would never let anything happen to Robert, there would never be sadness in him, and he will not suffer again.

I guess life brings us unhappiness, but just when the light seems to fade away, there will always be someone or something that will bring us up again. There will always be hope for all of us.

I just hope that whatever this new adventure brings me, everyone would be okay.

That night we decided to just hold each other as we surrender ourselves to a good night sleep. I felt for once happy to be in his arms as the darkness took us away.

Moonlight Kiss

Chapter 25 Part 1

I felt a slight pain in my chest making me stir in my sleep. My eyes became heavy all of the sudden making me incapable to open them. I felt myself floating in the air. I desperately tried to reach out for Robert, but I couldn’t. I was frozen as the light wind carried me away.

The pain in my chest started to become less painful as soon as I was able to open my eyes. I was shocked as soon as I glanced at my surroundings; there was plain darkness everywhere and an immense fog covering everything around me. I felt myself lost and cold. I panicked for a minute; I looked at what I was wearing and found myself standing in a plain white dress.

As minutes passed, I was able to move my feet. The now fog started to go away making it possible for me to see where I was. I let out a sigh of relief as soon as I recognized the forest. Chills started running through my body as the cold wind started blowing my now messy hair.

I gulped as I heard a piercing noise coming from behind me. I closed my eyes hoping for it to go away, but it didn’t. But then it hit me, the salty smell of blood.

My stomach growled as my throat became dry. The scent was intoxicating and delicious. I wanted blood…I wanted it desperately.

I opened my eyes as I turned around slowly while silently hoping that everything was going to fine. As soon I turned around I saw…absolutely nothing.

There was nothing in front of me. I soon found myself being watched. I glanced at my sides and saw the forest getting darker. The scent of blood was still hard to resist, it was very strong as if it was right in front of me. I kept thinking on how I was going to get out of here. I questioned if this was a dream or reality.

I turned around started walking down the road all while looking for a sign that will either help me wake up or get me out of here. As I kept walking, the forest become narrower, I started losing my breath, all I wanted was blood to keep my strength.

I felt helpless and alone. I fell down to my knees crying my eyes out as the night started getting darker. I closed my eyes as my body gave up on me. The pain in my chest came back. I placed my hand on my chest as the pain started getting stronger and unbearable.

All kinds of things flashed across my mind. There were memories of my parents, the forest, my childhood as a princess in Calypso and memories of my love Robert. I felt weak as I remember hearing the responsibilities that I had even before I was born.

I was destined to do something greater than anything in the world. I found myself questioning my destiny again as I saw all kinds of pictures of Robert in my head. I smiled faintly as I started recalling the time where we first kissed.

That will forever stay in my mind no matter what.

“Get up child” I heard someone said. I opened my eyes and looked up, immediately regretting that decision as soon as a bright light hit my face.

I doubted my next move. Should I get up or ignore the voice?

“You are going to be fine. I’m not here to hurt you” the woman’s voice said once again. She must have seen my reaction as soon as she told me to get up to tell me that everything was going to be fine.

I found myself rising from the floor. The pain in my chest now gone by now for the second time.

I looked up to see that she was covered by a bright light making it impossible for me to see her clearly.

“Who are you? What do you want?” I asked her gaining back my strength.
