Moonlight Kiss

Chapter 10

“So…do you want to stay?” He asked extending his hand. I looked at his hand then at him and new exactly what I wanted to do.

Without giving it a second thought I took his warm and gentle hand tightly. Our hands fit perfectly as if they made for each other.

Robert looked down at our locked hands and smiled. I almost melt at the sight of his warm smile. I grin up to him and we both headed towards his house.

“What’s it like being a vampire?” he asked nervously. There was a part of me that wanted to stop all of this and run away. But it was too late now because I’m now attached to him and his world.

“What’s it like being human?” I asked grinning. He chuckled and shook his head.

“I guess I can call that an even situation. So…tell me about your world”

My world?

Now that was an easy question to answer. “Calypso is beautiful beyond belief. Everything there is magical, but not everything there is good. My father…he does everything he can to keep mad from good, but it got recently bad”

“How?” he asked as soon as we stopped in front of a park. We sat on the bench still holding hands.

“There are evil creatures wanting to end my world and come to yours. So I have to help my people destroy them” I said remembering the prophecy.

“Destroy evil…and how are you going to do that?” he asked looking at me. His eyes were intense and curious at the same time.

“I don’t know. But I have to…I’m the only one that can” I nervously said looking down at our connected hands.

He nudge me a little with his shoulder making me look up at him “What do you mean you’re the only one that can?”

Now that was a question I would rather now answer, but then again Robert has been so nice to me.

“There is something else that you don’t know about me” he looked nervous all of the sudden. I desperately wanted to reach out for him, but I couldn’t.

“What is it?” he whispered looking at me with now brave eyes.

“I’m not just a normal vampire…my parents are…Queen and King of Calypso and I’m their daughter…Princess Jane, heir to the throne of the Underworld”

There I said it now…he’ll probably hate me now for keeping this from him. As I looked at him, different expressions went through his eyes. I wanted to run for real this time and never look back.

I mean, I felt a huge relief for telling him my secrets, but I felt guilty once again for betraying my parents by telling a human about our world.

Hell, they’ll probably kill me now for betraying my world.

Please Jane, concentrate and just tell him what you know. My conscious keep repeating, but I wasn’t able to register what was happening.
